World gold price today goes down
Early on May 31, the world gold price closed the weekend at 3,290 USD/ounce, down 15 USD compared to the highest level in last night's trading session (3,305 USD/ounce).
The main reason for the drop in gold prices is believed to be President Trump's social media post, in which he declared that he would no longer be friendly in his trade policy with China. This statement caused a slight shake in the stock market, indirectly affecting the price of gold.
Previously, on May 30, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit approved a stay of the lower court's ruling, which blocked emergency tariffs imposed by President Trump on many imported goods.
However, the market still has many questions about President Trump's authority to apply tariffs. Therefore, many investors are worried that gold prices will fluctuate unpredictably, so they rush to sell to recover capital, causing world gold prices to fall.
In Vietnam, at the end of May 30, the price of SJC gold was listed at 118.5 million VND/tael (selling price), while the price of gold rings reached 114 million VND/tael.
