Gasoline price exceeds 20,000 VND per liter

Gasoline prices increase, oil prices decrease (except fuel) from 3pm today, after adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance.

The price of RON 95-III gasoline (the popular type on the market) increased by VND230, to VND20,070 per liter. E5 RON 92 also increased by VND200, to VND19,600.

On the contrary, diesel oil decreased by 260 VND, down to 18,800 VND per liter. Compared to 7 days ago, kerosene cost 18,660 VND per liter, fuel oil increased to 15,640 VND.

From August 1, the two largest petroleum market players, Petrolimex and PVOIL, will pilot the sale of E10 gasoline - a biofuel mixed with 10% ethanol in mineral gasoline. Petrolimex will pilot the sale of this gasoline in Ho Chi Minh City, while PVOIL will deploy it in Hanoi and Hai Phong. This is the first step in the nationwide transition to green fuel, expected to start in 2026.

After the price adjustment from the management agency this afternoon, each liter of E10 RON 95-III gasoline was also listed by Petrolimex at 19,830 VND, an increase of 230 VND compared to 7 days ago.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the world oil market in the past 7 days has been affected by many factors such as updated information on US tax policies with trade partners; OPEC+ decided to increase oil production in September.

Geopolitical and economic fluctuations have caused world oil prices to fluctuate depending on the product. Each barrel of RON 95 gasoline increased by 1.4% to 80.2 USD on average, while oil decreased by 0.5-1.8%. Fuel oil alone increased by 0.8% to 420.8 USD per ton.

This year, the total minimum supply allocated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to key traders is more than 29.5 million ^m3 , tons of various types of gasoline and oil. In the first half of the year, the supply of goods prepared by enterprises for the domestic market is about 13.86 million ^m3 , tons, equivalent to 47% of the plan. However, the actual consumption is 12.6 million ^m3 , tons, so the inventory is about 1.7-1.8 million ^m3 , tons.
