On May 27, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department is investigating the criminal case of "Abuse of trust to appropriate property" occurring at Dao Ngoc Binh Joint Stock Company (Dao Ngoc Binh Company) located in Ward 5, District 4.
During the investigation, the police determined that Mr. Thai Khac Hoang (52 years old, from An Giang , temporarily residing in District 7), former director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dao Ngoc Binh Company, had created trust with customers, called for capital contributions to establish a company, created fake share transfer documents, converted and established Dao Ngoc Binh Company, increased the share ownership ratio, changed business registration, and increased charter capital.

As Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Thai Khac Hoang transferred shares and corporate legal entities (including 4 plots of land owned by Mr. Dao Ngoc Binh). Then, Mr. Hoang sold them to Mr. Nguyen Duy Linh (General Director of An Phu Housing Development and Trading Joint Stock Company) for 100 billion VND without going through the shareholders and embezzling more than 62.3 billion VND.
On January 29, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department issued a decision to prosecute and arrest Mr. Thai Khac Hoang for the crime of "Abuse of trust to appropriate property".
On May 13, 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy approved the decisions and orders within its authority. On May 14, 2024, the Investigation Police Agency executed an arrest warrant to detain Mr. Thai Khac Hoang for the above crime.
To serve the investigation and handling of the case, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department requests individuals and organizations that have had transactions with Thai Khac Hoang and had their money and property stolen to quickly come to the headquarters at 674 Ba Thang Hai Street (Ward 14, District 10), meet investigator Le Trung Luan to report and provide information.
