Ho Chi Minh City Police received a letter of commendation from the Prime Minister for crime prevention.

On the morning of October 25, at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials, Lieutenant General Mai Hoang, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, received a letter of commendation from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on behalf of the Government in the fight against crime.

On the morning of October 25, at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized the first Ho Chi Minh City Patriotic Emulation Congress (2025 - 2030) with the theme "Solidarity, innovation, creativity, emulation to build a pioneering Ho Chi Minh City, together with the whole country entering a new era".

At the congress, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs Pham Thanh Chung read a letter of commendation from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praising the Ho Chi Minh City Police force for its outstanding achievements in the recent past in the fight against crime.

The content of the letter of commendation stated: “I am pleased to know that recently, Ho Chi Minh City Police have synchronously and resolutely deployed working measures, fought and destroyed many large-scale, organized criminal, economic and drug crime rings.

In particular, after discovering a drug trafficking ring from abroad to Vietnam at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on March 16, 2023, Ho Chi Minh City Police organized a thorough investigation and handling of the subjects, so far destroying 434 drug gangs, prosecuting 2,272 defendants operating in 22 localities, seizing 596 kg of various drugs, 12 guns and 3 grenades...

On behalf of the Government, I warmly congratulate, commend and highly appreciate the achievements of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, and request the Ministry of Public Security to have a form of commendation and propose worthy rewards for the collectives and individuals who have made outstanding achievements in the above worthy struggle.

At the same time, direct the functional forces to promote the achieved results, continue to fight and strongly suppress all types of crimes, especially drug crimes and transnational organized activities."

Mr. Mai Hoang represented the force to receive the Prime Minister's letter of commendation presented by Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc.

The Congress is an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the results of the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2021 - 2025; at the same time, honor many heroic collectives and individuals and 478 typical advanced faces, representing thousands of outstanding examples in all areas of the city's life.

The Congress also commended heroic collectives and individuals, and emulation fighters nationwide, and acknowledged their efforts, initiatives, and breakthrough solutions in work, study, scientific research, production and business, digital transformation, and social security care.
