Director of the Department of Health Le Minh Quang inspected the facilities and medical examination and treatment equipment at Hai Duong Lung Hospital.

Hai Duong Lung Hospital is a grade I specialized hospital with 16 departments and rooms; the total number of beds is 355. The hospital conducts medical examination and treatment related to lung diseases, tuberculosis and directs and prevents tuberculosis. In the first 9 months of 2025, Hai Duong Lung Hospital received nearly 22,500 medical examinations and treatments, reaching nearly 75%; of which nearly 7,800 patients were inpatients, with a bed occupancy rate of 103.5%.

Deputy Director of the Department of Health Nguyen Thi Trung Chinh spoke at the working session with Hai Duong Lung Hospital.

The hospital has done a good job of proactively detecting tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis, and early screening to detect chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. Since the beginning of the year, the hospital has detected 63 new tuberculosis patients; 511 people have been diagnosed with respiratory diseases such as COPD and asthma.

Create a mechanism for the unit to open a multidisciplinary clinic and establish a new department for respiratory rehabilitation and functional testing.
