Sharp reduction in train ticket prices for commuters on the Hai Duong - Hai Phong route

After more than a month of piloting trains to transport civil servants, public employees, and workers to work on the Hai Duong - Hai Phong route, the railway industry decided to sharply reduce monthly ticket prices and adjust train schedules to be more suitable.

According to the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, the HP15/HP16 train pair on the Hai Duong - Hai Phong route has had its running time adjusted to better suit people's working and studying hours.

Specifically, train HP15 will depart from Hai Duong station at 6:20 am and arrive at Hai Phong station at 7:17 am. Train HP16 will continue its journey in the opposite direction, departing from Hai Phong station at 5:30 pm and arriving at Hai Duong station at 6:35 pm.

In particular, the monthly ticket price will be reduced sharply from 1,500,000 VND/ticket/month to 800,000 VND/ticket/month, to encourage officials and people to use trains, a safe, convenient and environmentally friendly means of transport.

One-way ticket price remains at 55,000 VND/ticket/way, round-trip ticket is immediately reduced by 20%, ticket for group of 4 people is only charged for 3 tickets.

At the same time, HP15/HP16 train is also a day train connecting East - West tourism in Hai Phong City. On board there is a light food service, meeting the needs of passengers throughout the journey.

Passengers can buy tickets directly at the station, buy tickets online or through applications such as VnPay, Shopee, ZaloPay, Momo, ViettelPay...

Previously, Vietnam Railways Corporation tested a pair of trains to transport Hai Phong City officials and employees to work by train from September 22.
