In the Northern region, the price of live pigs today decreased by 1,000 - 3,000 VND/kg in all localities last week. Currently, this region is buying and selling in the range of 61,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.

Traders in Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Bac Giang, Nam Dinh, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Thai Binh , Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc, and Tuyen Quang are purchasing live pigs at 63,000 VND/kg, the highest price in the region.

Today's live pig price in the Northern region decreased by 1,000 - 3,000 VND/kg in the past few days.

Traders in Lao Cai and Ninh Binh have sharply reduced the price by 3,000 VND and are purchasing live pigs at 61,000 VND/kg, marking this as the lowest price in the region.

The remaining localities decreased by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg, recording the price of live pigs at 62,000 VND/kg.

Latest live pig prices in the Central Highlands region

In this area, the price of live pigs decreased by 2,000 - 4,000 VND/kg and fluctuated between 58,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, traders in Thanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh , and Binh Thuan are purchasing live pigs at 61,000 VND/kg, the highest price in the region.

Pig prices in the Central Highlands region have slightly decreased.

There are 4 provinces in this area including Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak that are purchasing live pigs at a price lower than 60,000 VND/kg.

The remaining localities recorded live pig prices at 60,000 VND/kg.

Southern pig price

The price of live pigs in the Southern market last week also decreased by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg in many localities and fluctuated between 59,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, traders in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Can Tho, Ca Mau, Dong Thap, Soc Trang are purchasing live pigs at 62,000 VND/kg, which is the highest price in the region.

The price of live pigs in the Southern region is highest at 62,000 VND/kg.

On the other hand, traders in Ben Tre are purchasing live pigs at 59,000 VND/kg, the lowest price in the region.

The remaining localities recorded live pig prices at 60,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.

In general, the domestic pig market continued to decline rapidly last week. According to a survey, the national pig price is currently fluctuating between 58,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.
