Thai Nguyen Provincial Buddhist Sangha supports overcoming the consequences of natural disasters

In order to help people overcome the consequences of the recent storm No. 11, on November 4, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Thai Nguyen province coordinated with the Party Committee, the government of Linh Son ward and European monks, nuns and Buddhists to give gifts to Thai Nguyen people who suffered a lot of damage due to natural disasters.

Thai Nguyen Provincial Buddhist Sangha presented 1,600 gifts to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

At the gift-giving ceremony, representatives of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Thai Nguyen province presented 1,600 gifts worth a total of 1.6 billion VND to people severely affected by natural disasters.

This is an activity demonstrating the spirit of mutual support, solidarity, love, and the fine cultural traditions of the Vietnamese people; at the same time, spreading the message of compassion and kindness of Buddhism.

Since the recent historic flood, the provincial Buddhist Sangha has called on monks, nuns, Buddhists, and philanthropists inside and outside the province to support flood recovery efforts as well as support Thai Nguyen people with a total amount of money and necessities worth nearly 40 billion VND.
