The ceremony was attended by many generations of colleagues and students of Professor Ha Minh Duc during his 49 years of teaching at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

During half a century of dedication toeducation and scientific research, Professor Ha Minh Duc left a huge and valuable legacy for modern Vietnamese literature and literary criticism.
Not only is he an erudite researcher, the Professor is also the first Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, Hanoi National University - the predecessor of the Institute of Journalism and Communication of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. With his passion and dedication, Professor Ha Minh Duc has trained many generations of excellent students - those who continue their academic path, those who have been actively contributing to the cause of education, journalism, culture and literature and arts of the country.

At the age of 90, Professor Ha Minh Duc is still a vibrant scholar, continuing to write, attend conferences, exchange ideas, and inspire future generations.
In particular, the 107th book titled “The Teacher and the Pages of Books” was published on the occasion of Professor Ha Minh Duc’s 90th birthday. This is a special publication, containing valuable information about the Professor’s life and was also written by Professor Ha Minh Duc himself, who organized the articles and worked with the publisher to launch the book.
The book is a collection of stories about the noble teaching profession throughout the 49-year journey of a teacher standing on the podium, stories of the profession during more than 65 years domestically and internationally of a veteran journalist Ha Minh Duc... which have been recreated by the Professor in a special honorary lecture. At a rare age, Professor Ha Minh Duc is still passionately teaching about Ho Chi Minh's ideology in education with a clear, enthusiastic and intelligent voice like the old days when he stood on the podium passionately teaching to many generations of students.

Within the framework of the event, the exhibition displayed valuable books and photos, giving viewers a complete picture of the life devoted to education, science and journalism of Professor, People's Teacher Ha Minh Duc.
Professor Ha Minh Duc, born in 1935, is from Vinh An commune, Vinh Loc district, Thanh Hoa province; started teaching in 1957 at Hanoi University. He held the position of Head of the Faculty of Journalism, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (1991-2000); Director of the Institute of Literature (1995-2003).
Professor Ha Minh Duc has been awarded many noble prizes by the Party and the State, typically: First Class Labor Medal; People's Teacher; Ho Chi Minh Prize for Literature and Arts...
