Hands on

After quitting his job at his old company, Mr. Le Khanh Huy (born in 1994, residing in An Khe ward) went to the Da Nang Employment Service Center to apply for unemployment benefits and receive free vocational training advice. After researching, Mr. Huy registered to study Digital Graphics because of his interest and knowledge of computers. Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Thi Mai Hau (born in 1993, residing in Ngu Hanh Son ward) registered to study sales - supermarket management because of her experience in sales.

Based on the synthesis of vocational training needs of workers, at the end of July 2025, Da Nang Employment Service Center coordinated with Da Nang College to open 2 vocational training classes on digital graphics and sales - supermarket management for workers receiving unemployment benefits.

A representative from the Department of Training and Student Affairs at Da Nang College said that the digital graphics vocational class has 29 students. Students are trained in basic skills in graphic design, illustration design with Illustrator software, basic 3D graphics, and video editing.

Meanwhile, the sales and supermarket management vocational class has 20 students, training them in basic skills of communication in sales, sales skills, and practice of importing and exporting goods in supermarkets. The vocational training period is 2.5 months. Students who complete the course are granted a vocational training certificate according to regulations to return to the labor market soon.

According to the Department of Training and Student Affairs, the school is committed to creating an effective learning environment closely linked to practice, focusing on vocational skills training in the direction of "hands-on" so that students can master knowledge, improve their qualifications and skills, and meet the increasing demands of the labor market.

To help workers conveniently arrange their time, vocational classes are held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekdays from Monday to Friday.

Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Lien (born in 1979, residing in Hai Chau ward) shared: “During the day, unemployed workers have to find seasonal jobs to earn an income to cover their living expenses or take care of their children. Therefore, vocational training in the evening is very suitable, helping us feel secure and focus on studying.”

Create stable and sustainable jobs

Principal of Da Nang College Ho Viet Ha informed that from May 2025 to present, the school has coordinated with the Da Nang Employment Service Center to open 6 vocational training classes for workers receiving unemployment insurance, including: 1 food processing technique class, 2 bartender technique classes, 2 digital graphics classes and 1 supermarket sales - management class. Of which, digital graphics and supermarket sales - management are two new professions, suitable for the needs of the labor market, opening up diverse job opportunities for students after graduation.

According to Director of Da Nang Employment Service Center Tran Trung Kien, with the goal of creating stable and sustainable jobs for workers, the center coordinates with vocational training institutions to organize diverse vocational training according to the needs of workers and market trends, helping students to create their own jobs after studying or re-entering the labor market.

In addition, the center continues to coordinate research and open new majors in line with the city's development orientation and labor market trends to attract learners.

After the merger, the Da Nang Employment Service Center unified the process of receiving unemployment insurance applications, ensuring timely and complete resolution of all policies and benefits for employees.

At the same time, the center maintains operations at 4 locations: 278 Au Co (Lien Chieu ward), 21 Phan Chau Trinh (Hai Chau ward), Ho Xuan Huong street (Vinh Dien ward) and 84 Nguyen Du (Ban Thach ward); fully performing the tasks: introducing jobs, receiving and processing unemployment insurance applications, providing vocational training advice... for workers.

In order to increase the employment rate in mountainous communes, in August and September 2025, the Department of Home Affairs and the Da Nang Employment Service Center organized 30 job fairs in the communes of Thanh My, Ben Giang, Nam Giang, Dac Pring, La Dee, La Ee, Song Vang, Song Kon, Dong Giang, Ben Hien, Phuoc Tra, Kham Duc, Phuoc Nang, Phuoc Chanh, Phuoc Thanh, Phuoc Hiep, Tra My, Tra Lien, Tra Giap, Tra Doc, Tra Tan, Nam Tra My, Tra Tap, Tra Van, Tra Linh, Tra Leng, A Vuong, Tay Giang, Hung Son, Duc Phu.

Thereby, connecting businesses with workers; providing vocational training advice to unemployed workers to increase the employment rate in mountainous areas, contributing to the effective implementation of the National Target Programs for the period 2021 - 2025 in these localities.
