Reportedly, Netflix's most recent price increase for its standard plan was in January 2022. Therefore, according to research firm Jefferies, Netflix may announce price increases for both standard and ad-supported plans in Q4 2024.

Netflix claims it offers the lowest advertising rates compared to its competitors, so the company may be planning to adjust its prices.
Previously, in October 2023, Netflix adjusted the prices of its basic and premium plans, while the standard plan remained unchanged. According to Jefferies, Netflix may gradually eliminate the basic plans. The elimination of the basic plans and the impact of new subscription packages will be the driving force behind increasing the average revenue per user next year.
In the 2023 price adjustment, the premium package for car streaming and Ultra HD movies, allowing users to watch on multiple devices simultaneously, increased from $19.99 to $22.99 per month, and the basic package (watching on one device only) increased from $9.99 to $11.99 per month.
In Vietnam: the mobile package (for use on 1 device) costs 70,000 VND/month and has limited broadcast quality; the basic package (for use on 1 device) costs 180,000 VND/month and allows watching movies in 480p resolution; the standard package (for use on 2 devices simultaneously) costs 220,000 VND/month and allows watching movies in 1080p resolution; the premium package (for 4 devices simultaneously) costs 260,000 VND/month and allows watching 4K+HDR videos , is ad-free, and can download and watch online, with diverse subtitles and exclusive content.
It can be said that Netflix remains a good choice for Vietnamese people's movie-watching and entertainment needs, with its diverse content and compatibility across multiple devices.
