Over the past month, the coastal tourist areas of Quat Lam (Giao Thuy), Thinh Long (Hai Hau) and a number of beautiful beaches, resorts, and coastal community experiences in the province have become destinations chosen by many tourists from inside and outside the province. Many localities have welcomed a rapidly increasing number of visitors after a long period of "silence" due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Quat Lam coastal tourist area has an area of 200 hectares with 3.5 km of beach; has 113 kiosks, 8 hotels and dozens of motels, and other service establishments; each year, it welcomes tens of thousands of tourists from inside and outside the province to swim and relax. Implementing the urban planning of Quat Lam town until 2030 of the Provincial People's Committee and the plan of Giao Thuy District People's Committee on clearing kiosks of business households after the land lease term expires at Quat Lam Beach Tourist Area, up to now, the clearance and dismantling of kiosks near the sea to renovate, expand and build a coastal park has been completed. To prepare for the 2023 beach tourism season, Quat Lam Town People's Committee has issued a plan to manage and organize tourism activities. The Management Board of Quat Lam Beach Tourist Area strengthens tourism promotion; coordinates with the town police force to maintain security and order, prevent social evils and prostitution; establishes an environmental sanitation team, collects and treats waste; seriously arranges vehicles; assigns people to be on duty for rescue, etc.
Thinh Long town has the advantage of a long coastline, beautiful beaches and a convenient transportation system; a bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape; regional products; friendly and hospitable Hai Hau people. In recent years, Thinh Long town has had many solutions to encourage and attract investment resources to build infrastructure to serve the development of resort and beach tourism services with 113 hotels, restaurants, kiosks, over 1,000 rooms that are maintained stably to meet the needs of tourists. Some hotels are ranked by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism such as: 2-star hotels Tan Thinh, Hai Au; Hai Long tourist motel meets the standards of tourist accommodation business... With the rural traffic system being invested in and upgraded to ensure smoothness and seamless connection, since 2018, the People's Committee of Thinh Long town has established a tourist electric car cooperative with more than 40 electric cars to take tourists to visit historical - cultural relics, churches, and shop for souvenirs at markets around town. To build a "bright - green - clean - beautiful" tourist area, the Management Board of Thinh Long Tourist Area propagates and mobilizes restaurants, hotels, and kiosks to raise awareness of environmental protection and maintain centralized garbage collection teams; in conjunction with the Thinh Long Tourism Association, mobilize members to raise awareness and responsibility for preserving the reputation of the cultural homeland in serving tourists: publicly announcing service prices, not arbitrarily increasing prices to exploit customers on crowded days...; Develop a variety of entertainment services such as: photography, jet skiing, organizing cultural exchange programs, arts, sports , entertainment. In addition, improving the quality of accommodation services, ensuring security and order, food safety and hygiene, fire prevention and fighting are always of concern to local authorities, better meeting the increasing needs of tourists, gradually enhancing the brand and tourism products of Hai Hau, and in line with the planning of the type IV urban area of Thinh Long town.
Promoting tourism to develop the marine economy sustainably, from 2018 to now, the province has implemented many infrastructure investment projects (roads, water supply and drainage systems, power grid, post and telecommunications, environmental treatment, etc.) and projects to develop specialized tourism facilities and techniques (hotels, motels, restaurants, entertainment areas, etc.). In the two coastal tourist areas of Thinh Long and Quat Lam, the infrastructure system has been built quite synchronously, including: embankments, coastal walkways, public roads, water supply and drainage systems, lighting, post and telecommunications services. Capital from the Central Tourism Development Target Program and other local capital sources have contributed to changing the appearance of the coastal tourist areas of Thinh Long and Quat Lam. The Rang Dong beach area (Nghia Hung) is currently investing in infrastructure to form an eco-tourism and beach resort area. Mangrove forest habitat with fresh environment, near Rang Dong eco-resort, Rang Dong beach area in the future will become an attractive eco-tourism destination.
The investment in building and renovating the province's tourism infrastructure, focusing on upgrading roads, has helped tourists access tourist attractions more easily. Thereby stimulating and attracting investors inside and outside the province to invest in building a system of hotels, restaurants, entertainment areas and purchasing means of transportation to serve tourists. Currently, the province's coastal tourist areas have about 200 hotels, motels and food service establishments invested in and built with modern equipment to serve the needs of tourists for relaxation and accommodation. The number of visitors to marine eco-tourism areas accounts for over 20% of the total number of visitors to the province's tourist attractions, of which 50% of visitors stay overnight. In addition to tourists coming to Quat Lam and Thinh Long tourist areas, Xuan Thuy National Park eco-tourism area also welcomes from 14,000 to 20,000 visitors every year for research, sightseeing, and experience. Service revenue at these tourist areas accounts for an increasingly high proportion (accounting for 15-20% of the total tourism revenue of the whole province).
Along with investing in tourism infrastructure, the provincial tourism sector is interested in promoting and promoting sea tourism with the following activities: organizing photo contests, Nam Dinh tourism logo contests, publishing Nam Dinh tourism photo books, Nam Dinh tourism maps; organizing Nam Dinh Trade Tourism Fair, participating in tourism promotion fairs in provinces and cities across the country. Thereby, promoting the potential, strengths, investment policies and mechanisms of the province, attracting a large number of visitors and business cooperation partners, developing sea tourism in the locality. In order to promote sea tourism products and link tours and tourist routes, the provincial tourism sector has organized Famtrip delegations to survey the province's tourist routes and destinations and implementing tourism development cooperation programs between Nam Dinh and localities to exploit and develop typical regional tourism products; Coordinate with central, provincial and local news agencies and newspapers to promote Nam Dinh tourism image.
With the efforts of all levels, sectors and people of coastal districts, along with the active participation of businesses and tourism and travel service providers, the construction of coastal tourist spots and areas is gradually contributing to the development of the province's marine economy, building the image of Nam Dinh coastal tourism as a safe and friendly destination for tourists./.
