GPBank changes its name and announces its brand philosophy For a prosperous era

GPBank has just officially announced its new brand identity and launched the digital banking platform GP.DigiPlus, marking an important step in the comprehensive restructuring process under the strategic accompaniment of parent bank VPBank.

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has just approved the name change of Global Petroleum Sole Member Limited Commercial Bank to Generation of Prosperity Sole Member Limited Commercial Bank, with the abbreviation remaining as GPBank.

On this occasion, GPBank officially launched its new brand identity, with the philosophy " For a prosperous era " , the brand manifesto has a strong connection with the message "For a Prosperous Vietnam" of parent bank VPBank , while expressing the desire to accompany customers on the journey to create a sustainable future.

The new brand system uses the main orange tone, combined with a modern gradient effect, symbolizing positive energy and new vitality. The logo is inspired by "prosperous buds", combining the spirit of sustainable growth with the "V" line associated with VPBank, showing the connection of vision, strategy, and inheritance of the values ​​of the parent bank - of a leading technology bank to create a strong, breakthrough transformation for GPBank in the transformation journey. The event of changing the brand identity demonstrates GPBank's strong commitment to transforming and shaping a modern operating and business model with a long-term focus on becoming the leading bank in Vietnam in the SME segment, providing innovative and comprehensive digital solutions.

The new brand identity is not only a change in image, but also a milestone marking the beginning of GPBank's long-term development journey," said Mr. Nguyen Huy Phach, General Director of GPBank.

As an important member of the differentiated VPBank expansion ecosystem with more than 30 million customers and the companionship of strategic partner SMBC, along with the support from the parent bank in terms of human resources, finance, technology and management, GPBank is transforming strongly with a fast and comprehensive restructuring speed. By the end of June, GPBank has recorded many positive business results. Specifically, mobilization growth reached 20%, self-credit increased by 3% compared to the beginning of the year. In particular, after many difficult years, in June as well as the second quarter of 2025, GPBank began to make a profit, marking an important turning point in the restructuring process . The bank's Board of Directors assessed that the profit plan of 500 billion VND this year is completely feasible.

Strong step forward in digital transformation with GP.DigiPlus

With the mission of bringing seamless, transparent, personalized financial experiences, applying technology to popularize banking services to all customer groups, improving customer experience and operational efficiency, contributing to promoting sustainable growth for the economy , GPBank's core strategy is to develop a comprehensive banking model, using technology as the foundation to connect individual and corporate customers in the same ecosystem.

This determination was realized "immediately" with the digital banking platform GP.DigiPlus, launched at the same time as the change in brand identity and also marked the beginning of the journey of transforming operations and service models.

GP.DigiPlus is designed as a multi-functional financial center, allowing customers to experience a full range of banking services in just a few steps, from payment transactions, savings, to business management and flexible credit products.

In the first phase, GP.DigiPlus focuses on re-engineering the customer journey, from approach, consultation to approval, on a new generation technology platform. All processes are fully digitized, helping SME customers access capital and financial services faster, while minimizing operating costs and shortening processing times.

GPBank aims to have digital transaction customers account for the majority by the end of 2025, affirming its strategy of transforming into a comprehensive digital bank. In the next phase, the bank will continue to upgrade GP.DigiPlus with new features such as loyalty points program, virtual assistant, integrated fintech solutions and open banking, bringing a richer and more convenient financial ecosystem to users.

The launch of the new brand identity with GP.DigiPlus is a clear demonstration of the determination to shape a new development path, gradually affirming GPBank's position in the Vietnamese banking system and opening a prosperous era as the message that the bank pursues.
