The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has approved the amendment of the name of Global Petroleum Sole Member Limited Commercial Bank to Generation of Prosperity Sole Member Limited Commercial Bank, with the abbreviation GPBank remaining unchanged.
To mark this occasion, GPBank officially launched its new brand identity, with the philosophy " For a prosperous era , " a brand statement that strongly connects with the message "For a prosperous Vietnam" of its parent bank VPBank , and also expresses the aspiration to accompany customers on the journey of building a sustainable future.

The new brand system uses a dominant orange color scheme, combined with a modern gradient effect, symbolizing positive energy and new vitality. The logo is inspired by "prosperity sprouts," combining the spirit of sustainable growth with the "V" shape associated with VPBank, representing the connection of vision, strategy, and the inheritance of values from the parent bank – a technology-leading bank – to create a powerful and groundbreaking transformation for GPBank in its transformation journey. This brand identity change demonstrates GPBank's strong commitment to transformation, shaping a modern operating and business model with a long-term focus on becoming a leading bank in Vietnam in the SME segment, providing innovative and comprehensive digital solutions.

As a key member of VPBank's diverse and expanding ecosystem with over 30 million customers and the support of strategic partner SMBC, along with assistance from its parent bank in human resources, finance, technology, and management, GPBank is undergoing a strong transformation with a rapid and comprehensive restructuring. By the end of June, GPBank had recorded many positive business results. Specifically, deposit growth reached 20%, and equity lending increased by 3% compared to the beginning of the year. Notably, after many difficult years, GPBank began to turn a profit in June and the second quarter of 2025, marking a significant turning point in its restructuring process . The bank's leadership assesses that the profit target of VND 500 billion this year is entirely feasible.
