The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has approved the renaming of Global Petroleum Sole Member Limited Commercial Bank to Generation of Prosperity Sole Member Limited Commercial Bank, while retaining its abbreviated name, GPBank. This move marks a significant step in the bank's comprehensive restructuring process.
On this occasion, GPBank launched its new brand identity, embodying the philosophy "For a prosperous era." This message is closely aligned with VPBank 's declaration "For a Prosperous Vietnam," reflecting a shared vision and aspiration for sustainable development within a common ecosystem.
The new brand identity system uses a dominant orange color scheme, combined with a modern gradient effect – symbolizing positive energy and new vitality. The logo is inspired by a "prosperous sprout," incorporating the "V" shape to represent connection and the inheritance of values from the parent bank, VPBank.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huy Phach, General Director of GPBank: "The bank aims to build GPBank into a modern bank, with technology as its cornerstone, customers at the center, and people as its driving force. The partnership with VPBank provides a solid foundation for GPBank to maximize its potential in the new phase."

Comprehensive restructuring – Return to growth
With the support of VPBank and strategic partner SMBC, GPBank is accelerating its restructuring process in all aspects – from operations and governance to product development. In particular, the integration within the VPBank ecosystem, with over 30 million customers, enables GPBank to expand its customer base and improve business efficiency.
By the end of June 2025, GPBank recorded a 20% increase in deposits and a 3% increase in equity loans compared to the beginning of the year. After many difficult years, the bank began to turn a profit again in the second quarter of 2025, marking a positive turning point in its recovery process. The management stated that the profit target of VND 500 billion this year is achievable.
"We aim to be a reputable bank with modern operations, a unique identity, and efficient customer service, especially in the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) segment," the CEO of GPBank emphasized.

Representatives from the Department of Credit Supervision and Management, VPBank, and GPBank attended the ceremony announcing GPBank's new brand identity.
Along with the name change and the launch of its new brand, GPBank introduced the GP.DigiPlus digital banking platform, realizing its digital transformation strategy and enhancing customer experience.
GP.DigiPlus is designed as a multi-functional financial center, allowing customers to access a full range of banking services – from payment transactions, savings, personal financial management to business support – with just a few taps. The entire process is fully digitized, helping SMEs access capital faster, save costs, and shorten processing times.
In its initial phase, GPBank focuses on redesigning the customer journey – from initial contact and consultation to approval – on a next-generation technology platform. The bank aims for digital transactions to account for the majority of total transactions by the end of 2025, affirming its strategy of becoming a comprehensive digital bank.

In the near future, GPBank plans to upgrade GP.DigiPlus with new features such as a virtual assistant, a loyalty program, open banking, and integration of fintech solutions, aiming for a more flexible and convenient financial ecosystem for users.
According to GPBank's leadership, the renaming, the launch of the new brand, and the implementation of GP.DigiPlus are not just about changing the image, but also demonstrate a commitment to sustainable, transparent, and innovative development. This is the beginning of a new growth phase, positioning GPBank as one of the pioneering banks in digital transformation and serving SMEs in Vietnam.
