Starting today (October 8th), GPBank officially announces its new brand identity and changes its name to GPBank (Prosperity Era Commercial Bank Limited). Along with the name change, the bank also updates its brand identity with a dominant orange color.
GPBank is one of four banks that underwent mandatory transfer recently, along with OceanBank, CBBank, and Dong A Bank.
While the other three banks quickly changed their names and brand identities, GPBank was the last to complete the name and brand change.
Specifically, OceanBank changed its name to MBV after being transferred to MB, CBBank changed its name to VCBNeo after being transferred to Vietcombank, and Dong A Bank changed its name to Vikki Bank after being transferred to HDBank .

Previously, on January 17th, GPBank was transformed into a Limited Liability Commercial Bank with VPBank as the sole owner. The bank currently has one head office and nearly 80 branches/transaction offices/savings funds nationwide, along with a staff of over 1,400 employees.
At the annual shareholders' meeting held last April, Mr. Nguyen Duc Vinh, General Director of VPBank, affirmed that this year will be the first year GPBank makes a profit after a long period of losses.
According to VPBank Chairman Ngo Chi Dung, GPBank previously incurred losses of thousands of billions of dong or more each year. However, this year, the bank is expected to achieve a minimum profit of 500 billion dong.
In April, VPBank appointed Ms. Pham Thi Nhung, the Standing Deputy General Director of VPBank, as the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of GPBank. In addition to Ms. Nhung, the GPBank Board of Directors currently has five other members: Ms. Luu Thi Thao, Mr. Nguyen Huy Phach, Ms. Duong Thi Thu Thuy, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Nam, and Mr. Nguyen Quang Trung.
