General director Mai Thanh Tung emphasized that this is the most grand and elaborately staged and organized program ever. With the participation of famous singers and artists, dance troupes, and children, along with songs about family love, contributing to preserving the humanistic values in Vietnamese tradition: "Drinking water, remember the source," "Eating fruit, remember the tree planter," "Gratitude to parents 2024," it promises to be another moving and profound artistic evening in a dignified and refined setting.

Using music to praise the immeasurable contributions of parents and ancestors, and to remind future generations of their responsibilities, the program utilizes diverse and unique artistic performances, combining music, dance, poetry, drama, and modern theatrical techniques to convey a meaningful message during the Vu Lan festival.

With a running time of approximately 120 minutes, the program connects viewers' emotions through three parts.

The opening segment featured a poetic dance performance titled "A Lifetime of Burden," directed by Mai Thanh Tung, with commentary by People's Artist Le Chuc and the song "The Road Home" performed by singer Ai Phuong, Oscar Dance Troupe, and Lavender Dance Troupe. The Star of Childhood Club transported the audience to a space filled with love for their homeland, cherished family affection, gratitude for their parents, and the moral principles of "Drinking water, remember the source," and "Eating fruit, remember the tree planter."

Part 2 of the program features touching documentary footage, recording the journey of gratitude and filial piety that the Organizing Committee has persistently carried out over the past time. Within the framework of the program, Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper collaborated with Oscar Media to carry out a series of charitable activities, visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, elderly people living alone, and beneficiaries of social policies... in Hanoi, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh ...

These activities have contributed to spreading the beauty of the Vu Lan season, thereby fostering patriotism, national pride, and igniting a strong desire for peace in the hearts of each person, inspiring them to strive and contribute to the nation through practical actions.

At the event, the organizers, in coordination with philanthropists, presented 30 gifts and scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have strived to become exemplary filial children of Hanoi in 2024, encouraging them to confidently move forward into the future with the support and love of society.

The third part of the program powerfully conveys a message of gratitude through the language of music and art, structured into three chapters: "Beloved Days of Yesteryear" - "The Love of Father and Mother" - "Prayer".

Chapter 1 - "Beloved Days of Yesteryear" takes viewers back to warm childhood memories in the embrace of grandparents and parents, reminiscing about the early years spent with family, through songs such as: Lullaby, Mother Loves You, My Father, Father and Daughter, Time for Dinner.

Chapter 2 - "The Love of Father and Mother" reminds everyone of filial piety with songs like "Mother's Dream," "Lullaby for My Child," "Father, You're Getting Old, Are You?", "Visiting Mother," and "Rest Assured, Mother."

In particular, the interaction with representatives from Team Lee – a group of young people using modern technology to restore hundreds of portraits of fallen soldiers for free; and the group of young people with the "Hanoi Joins Hands" project, providing free housing for the homeless in Hanoi, created poignant and moving moments, affirming and inspiring the compassion and responsibility of young people towards society.

In Chapter 3 - "Prayers," the artists of the Youth Theatre presented the play "Father and Son," conveying a message about the duty and responsibility of children towards their parents.

This year's program features singers Ho Quynh Huong, Luu Huong Giang, Vu Thang Loi, Minh Quan, Randy, Ai Phuong, Quach Mai Thy, Tuan Ngoc, Ngoc Khanh Chi, Le Anh, Le Trang, Thai Son and the Chuong Gio Group… with performances full of emotion.

The program concluded with songs like "I'm Sorry, Mom," "Waiting for News from Dad," "Meeting Mom in a Dream," and "Gratitude for Parental Love," performed by singers Randy, Ngoc Khanh Chi, Le Anh, Le Trang, and others, conveying the prayers of children wishing to always be by their parents' side and fulfill their filial duties.

Although filial piety is a constant virtue in every Vietnamese person, the seventh lunar month, the Vu Lan festival, is a time when we, no matter where we are, turn our thoughts to our grandparents and parents. With the "Gratitude for Parental Love" music night, we hope that everyone, preoccupied with the hustle and bustle of life, will have moments to slow down, listen to their hearts, and reflect more on the nurturing love of their parents.
