Hanoi welcomes Guangdong enterprises to invest and do business.

Head of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Hanoi City People's Council, Duy Hoang Duong, expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation from the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress to work with the Hanoi City People's Council.

Speaking at the meeting, Zeng Chaobang, Deputy Head of the Supervisory and Judicial Affairs Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress, recalled the friendship between China and Vietnam that has been cultivated over the years.

Regarding the socio -economic situation of Guangdong Province, the Deputy Head of the Supervision and Justice Department of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress stated that, through working with and visiting several models in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, many similarities have been observed. Therefore, the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress wishes to cooperate with Hanoi on issues such as healthcare for the elderly; solutions to ensure the rights of newly graduated students and those entering the labor market in new professions such as delivery and online sales...

At the meeting, the Head of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Duy Hoang Duong, emphasized that Vietnam and China are close neighbors with many similarities in political systems, development paths, and cultural and social characteristics. Over nearly 75 years, the friendship, "both comrades and brothers," between the two Parties and two countries has become a precious asset.

The Hanoi People's Council hopes to have more opportunities for effective and practical cooperation and experience sharing with Guangdong Province.

As a locality with a wide network of international relations, Hanoi City always gives high priority to developing friendly relations and cooperation with localities in China, including Guangdong Province. In 2023 and 2024, delegations of Hanoi City leaders to Guangdong Province actively contributed to consolidating and strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China.

Informing the delegation of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress about Hanoi City and the Hanoi City People's Council, the Head of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Hanoi City People's Council emphasized that Hanoi City is currently focusing on building and perfecting development institutions and policies to create and allocate development space for the capital city in the coming time.

In particular, the National Assembly recently passed the amended Law on the Capital City, and the city will soon continue to report on accelerating the approval of the Capital City Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; and the adjustment of the general planning of the Capital City until 2045, with a vision to 2065.

On behalf of the leaders of the Hanoi City People's Council, the Head of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Hanoi City People's Council presented a commemorative gift to the delegation from the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress.

"All three of these contents are important legal foundations that will create superior mechanisms and policies for Hanoi to leverage its advantages and develop rapidly and sustainably with a new stature and position," emphasized Duy Hoang Duong, Head of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Hanoi People's Council.

Based on the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China, the Hanoi People's Council hopes to have more opportunities for effective and practical cooperation and experience sharing with Guangdong Province in various fields, strengthening the exchange of experiences in Party building and political systems, and socio-economic development; and enhancing substantive cooperation in trade and import-export of goods.

In particular, Hanoi welcomes and facilitates investment and expansion by businesses and corporations with strong capital and technology from Guangdong province, especially in emerging fields such as digital transformation, green growth, renewable energy, circular economy, and environmental protection.

At the same time, the Hanoi City People's Council hopes that in the future, both sides will strengthen cooperation to improve the quality of human resources - especially at the university and postgraduate levels; enhance cooperation and cultural exchange, people-to-people exchanges, especially among the younger generation, in order to contribute to creating a sustainable social foundation for the development of relations between the two countries and two localities.

The Head of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Hanoi People's Council wished that the cooperative relationship between Guangdong province and Vietnamese localities, including Hanoi, would see many new developments in the future.
