Hanoi completes the goal of 'Building child-centered kindergartens'

GD&TĐ - On October 31, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training held a conference to summarize the topic "Building a child-centered kindergarten" for the period 2021-2025.

Attending the event were representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training , Vietnam Education Trade Union, Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Department of Culture and Social Affairs of 126 communes and wards and 128 typical kindergartens in the city.

In the summary report on the implementation of the 2021-2025 period, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training affirmed that the past 5 years have been a period of strong and comprehensive transformation of the capital's preschool education level, demonstrated through many outstanding results.

The school system has developed strongly, and modern facilities have been invested in. To date, the whole city has 1,160 kindergartens, an increase of 37 schools compared to 2020. Over 80% of public schools meet national standards, an increase of 10% compared to the previous period. 100% of kindergartens have been invested, renovated, and newly built in a green - safe - friendly direction, meeting the requirements of child care and education in the period of innovation and integration.

The capital’s preschool teaching staff is solid in their expertise, dedicated, creative and passionate about their profession. Currently, 94% of public school teachers have qualified and above-standard training. Many teachers have mastered advanced educational methods, effectively applied information technology and digital transformation in teaching.

Creative and humane educational models have spread widely. Many typical models have been replicated such as: "Creative space", "Smart digital classroom", "Parents and teachers take care of and educate children". Thanks to that, 100% of kindergartens have built a child-centered educational environment, creating opportunities for children to experience, explore and develop comprehensively.

The criteria of the 2021-2025 phase have all been achieved and exceeded the plan. The quality of care, nurturing and education of children at schools has been significantly improved, contributing to building a safe, friendly and happy educational environment for preschool children in the capital.

To continue the success and move towards the goal of sustainable development, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong requested the People's Committees of wards and communes to continue reviewing and planning the school network, ensuring that 100% of school-age children can go to school, striving to complete universal preschool education for children aged 3-5 by 2029, 1 year earlier than the national roadmap.

Units increase public investment, mobilize social resources to build spacious, friendly, modern schools to meet the requirements of the new preschool education program; recruit teachers and staff to ensure sufficient quantity and quality; fully and promptly implement policies and regimes for preschool staff and children.

Preschools continue to widely implement the theme "Child-centered" associated with the model of smart school - green environment - happiness; promote the application of digital technology in teaching and management; create a creative, friendly and integrated educational environment.

Schools increase the participation of the community, parents, domestic and foreign organizations in child care and education. Build a team of "Professionals - Beautiful souls - Kindness - Creativity", meeting the requirements of fundamental, comprehensive innovation and international integration.

Within the framework of the closing ceremony, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training commended and awarded 128 outstanding groups, the core elements spreading the spirit of the topic in the next phase. Delegates and teachers also visited and experienced a number of innovative models; participated in activities following the model of "Japanese-style preschool education".
