Hanoi strengthens inspection and handling of violations in transportation business during Tet

Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectors will focus on checking the safety conditions of vehicles and drivers before departure for inter-provincial passenger buses during Tet.

The Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate has just issued a plan to coordinate in checking the declaration and price posting of transport units; checking the conditions of vehicles and drivers before departure, ensuring traffic order and safety to serve the New Year and Lunar New Year 2025 at bus stations in the city.

Specifically, the Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate will coordinate with functional forces to focus on inspecting and handling violations in road transport activities such as: passenger transport vehicles on fixed routes, contract vehicles, taxis operating in inter-provincial bus stations, hospitals, commercial centers, and key belt roads.

Notably, for inter-provincial passenger buses, the Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate will conduct safety checks on the vehicles and drivers before departure. In particular, they will strengthen inspection and handling of drivers carrying "reinforced vehicle" badges of transport businesses.

District, county, and town Transport Inspection Teams shall strengthen inspection and strictly handle fixed-route passenger vehicles operating on incorrect transport routes; contract passenger transport vehicles operating on fixed routes; pick up and drop off passengers outside bus stations and on routes surrounding bus stations; especially focus on inspection, handling, and completely eliminating pick-up and drop-off at gathering places such as representative offices and branches of transport businesses.
