Hanoi attracts 3,907 million USD of FDI capital in 10 months of 2025

On November 2, Hanoi City Statistics said that in October 2025, Hanoi attracted 14.9 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI).

Of which, 40 new projects were licensed with a total registered capital of 9.9 million USD; 41 foreign investors contributed capital and purchased shares worth 6.4 million USD.

In the first 10 months of 2025, the city attracted 3,907 million USD of FDI capital, 2.4 times higher than the same period in 2024.

Of which, 342 new projects were registered with a capital of 316.7 million USD; 120 projects adjusted to increase or decrease their registered capital, reaching 3,215 million USD (of which the Yen So Park construction project of Gamuda Land Vietnam Co., Ltd. with capital contributed by Malaysia increased by 1,120 million USD); 318 foreign investors contributed capital and purchased shares, reaching 375.3 million USD.

Regarding business registration, also in October, Hanoi city granted certificates to 2,814 newly established enterprises, up 17.1% over the same period last year; registered capital reached 49.3 trillion VND, up 32.1%; 793 enterprises resumed operations, up 1.5%; 1,658 enterprises registered to temporarily suspend operations, up 28.1%; 937 enterprises dissolved, up 97.7%.

In the first 10 months of 2025, the city granted certificates to 27,800 newly established enterprises with registered capital of 337.9 trillion VND, an increase of 11.1% in the number of enterprises and 38% in registered capital over the same period last year; 8,800 enterprises resumed operations, an increase of 4.6%.

Meanwhile, 25,500 enterprises registered to temporarily suspend operations, up 19%; 6,300 enterprises dissolved, up 61.7%.

The rate of online business registration applications is maintained at 100%, ensuring quality and timeliness.
