Accordingly, the Department of Construction of Ha Tinh has just issued a notice on traffic diversion and regulation on provincial road DT.547 (Ha Tinh coastal road) through the communes of Cam Trung and Ky Xuan.
In recent days, the province has experienced prolonged heavy rain, causing landslides on many roads due to water-soaked soil and weak geology.
In particular, on the Ha Tinh coastal road through Cam Trung and Ky Xuan communes, landslides occurred, and large amounts of rocks and boulders spilled onto the road surface, causing traffic congestion in many locations; in particular, at Km84+700, rocks and boulders blocked the entire road surface. In addition, in the neighboring areas (Km85+750, Km85+800), there were very dangerous landslides.
To ensure safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic on the coastal road of Ha Tinh, the Department of Construction announces the traffic diversion and regulation on the route through Cam Trung and Ky Xuan communes.
The traffic diversion area is from Km77+300 (the intersection opposite Cam Trung petrol station, intersecting with Cam Trung inter-commune road) to Km87+750 (the intersection with National Highway 1 (QL1) connecting Ky Xuan).
Specific traffic diversion plan: From Cam Trung to the south: From Thien Cam, cross Cua Nhuong bridge to the intersection opposite Cam Trung petrol station (Km77+300/DT.547), vehicles turn right and follow the inter-commune road, cross Cam Linh bridge to Cam Trung commune welcome gate, intersect National Highway 1 (at Km538+050/National Highway 1), turn left onto National Highway 1.
From Ky Xuan to the north: From DT.547 road, intersect with National Highway 1 connecting Ky Xuan (at Km87+750/DT.547), turn left and follow National Highway 1 connecting Ky Xuan to the intersection with National Highway 1 (at Km548+080/QL1), turn right onto National Highway 1.
Currently, many other provincial and national roads in Ha Tinh are seriously eroded, such as National Highway 12C to Vung Ang Port and National Highway 8C. The government is urgently working to repair the erosion and reroute traffic.
Previously, at 4:40 p.m. on November 4, while the machinery of Ha Tinh Traffic Construction and Management Joint Stock Company was handling a landslide at Km84+700 on the Ha Tinh coastal road through Ky Xuan commune, the upper mountainside continued to collapse.
The incident caused rocks and soil to fall from the mountain, knocking down machinery, injuring three people who were taken to a medical facility for emergency treatment. Immediately after the incident, local authorities and functional forces blocked off the scene, put up warning signs and diverted traffic from a distance to ensure safety.
