
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, by October 2, all of the more than 800 hectares of winter-spring rice in communes and wards that were tilted due to the effects of storm No. 10 and tornadoes had been basically restored.
In Vinh Hai, Vinh Am, Nguyen Binh Khiem, Khuc Thua Du, Vinh Lai communes... immediately after storm No. 10 weakened, farmers went to the fields to restore the fallen rice fields, and at the same time focused on preventing brown planthoppers. Of which, Khuc Thua Du commune completed repairing more than 300 hectares, Vinh Lai commune nearly 100 hectares, Vinh Hai commune more than 32 hectares, Binh Giang commune 30 hectares, Vinh Am commune more than 12 hectares, Nguyen Binh Khiem commune more than 10 hectares. The remaining fallen rice fields with low damage levels recovered on their own.
Currently, localities continue to support people to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 10, focusing on restoring production after the storm. Coordinate with irrigation companies to proactively drain water in fields with flooded rice fields. Strengthen inspection of dike and irrigation systems. Implement measures to prevent floods, protect dike works, people's lives, and culverts.
