According to Thanh Nien reporters, at 5:30 a.m. on May 11, at Son Thuy beach (Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City), thousands of domestic and foreign athletes excitedly gathered at the starting line, waiting for the opening whistle to begin the international race.

According to the Organizing Committee, after completing the 1.9 km swim at Son Thuy beach, the "steel men" will receive bicycles and travel along coastal roads such as Truong Sa, Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Sa, Le Duc Tho, Nguyen Tat Thanh to complete the 90 km cycling route. This is a cycling route along the coast that is considered by domestic and foreign athletes to be a "captivating" route.

According to the reporter's observation at 9:00 a.m. on the same day (May 11), the first athletes were cycling from the coastal routes, speeding through Thuan Phuoc Bridge (Hai Chau District) towards Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (Thanh Khe District) to complete the cycling competition. According to the Organizing Committee, the first "steel man" is expected to reach the finish line at 11:30 a.m. on the same day.

Standing on the side of the road to cheer for the "steel men" on their journey to conquer the triathlon race, Ms. Dinh Thi Tai (residing in Son Tra District, Da Nang City) quickly talked with Thanh Nien , this morning her family had 2 people participating in the race, so the family woke up very early to "support" the athletes.

"Today, many athletes are my relatives, so my family came out to cheer. I was at Son Thuy beach since 4am, the atmosphere here is very bustling... It's wonderful to welcome the sunrise in this excited atmosphere," said Ms. Tai.
