On some flights on the first day of the Year of the Dragon, passengers were given flowers, enjoyed art performances and received gifts.
On the first day of Lunar New Year, Vietnam Airlines organized flights VN 628 departing from Bangkok (Thailand), VN 157 from Hanoi to "open the new year" at Da Nang airport. Flight VN1340 from Ho Chi Minh City to "open the new year" at Cam Ranh international airport.
Passengers on these flights were greeted with flowers, art, and gifts upon landing at the airport. Some lucky passengers were given free air tickets.
On other flights, flight attendants performed ao dai with the themes "Sac Sen" and "Dang Hoa Nien Phu" instead of their daily uniforms. Dozens of Tet-themed dishes such as sticky rice with gac fruit, braised pork, pork roll, fried pork roll, pickled onions, pickled shallots, pickled vegetables, head cheese, chicken vermicelli, etc. were also served by Vietnam Airlines on domestic and international flights.

Passengers on flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of the first day of Tet received lucky money and discounted airfares. The airline also decorated the walls of the aircraft in the business class cabin and showed music videos celebrating Tet.
On the first day of the new year, leaders of Vietravel Airlines and Vietravel met and gave lucky money to passengers on the first flights at Tan Son Nhat airport and Noi Bai airport.
On Tet flights, Vietravel Airlines flight attendants also change their uniforms to traditional five-panel ao dai and Nhat Binh. The airline serves banh chung on flights on the first day of the year, bringing the taste of Tet closer to passengers.

Noi Bai Airport will organize music performances and calligraphy art for passengers on the 5th and 6th of Tet (two peak days) in the quarantine area at both domestic and international terminals. Passengers arriving at the airport will be given calligraphy, and will listen to Cheo, Xam, and Chau Van singing before their flights.
Cultural sites are located in the isolation area of wing C of domestic terminal T1 and the isolation area of gate 23 of international terminal T2.
