The incident happened at around 4:15 p.m. on April 3. At that time, Nong Duc K (a 2nd grade student at Be Van Dan Primary School) finished school and went home, dropped his school bag and went out to play.
At 5:00 p.m. the same day, the parents returned home from work and did not see the child at home, so they mobilized relatives and reported to the commune police to mobilize the search.
“The authorities and local people searched everywhere, even shining a light on the 6-meter-tall mango tree in front of the house 4-5 times but still could not find her. Finally, a person nearby climbed the tree and looked closely before seeing K up there. The police climbed the tree, approached, and brought her down to the ground safely,” said Mr. Do.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Cu Ewi commune added that K. had never climbed a tree to sleep like that before. Fortunately, they found him and brought him down safely.
