The Health Sector of Ca Mau province has completed one of the most important goals, which is that 30/30 hospitals and regional medical centers complete the implementation of electronic medical records (EMR) before September 30, 2025. When implementing EMR, it helps reduce printing costs, shorten time, medical history information is stored accurately and securely... EMR brings many outstanding benefits, especially for patients: no need to carry a lot of documents when going to the doctor, saving waiting time thanks to the quick processing process, medical history information, test results and diagnostic images are stored centrally, accurately and securely. Thanks to that, doctors can fully grasp the health status, limit duplicate testing, reduce costs and effort for patients.

Electronic medical records also ensure continuity of care, allowing patients to access services at multiple medical facilities without worrying about losing information. At the same time, electronic medical records contribute to improving safety in treatment by limiting errors in prescriptions, medication use and supporting doctors to make more accurate decisions. Ca Mau General Hospital is a pioneer hospital and has completed BAĐT earlier than the proposed roadmap. Dr. To Minh Nghi , Director of Ca Mau General Hospital , "Digital transformation has brought many benefits to medical staff , especially in information entry and treatment indications... All are saved in electronic medical records and are completely accurate. When patients come for a re-examination, there is no need to look up old records. The same goes for referrals. We will transfer information to upper-level hospitals such as: Test results, diagnostic imaging, to facilitate treatment for patients." Patient data is digitized, medical staff can track the patient's treatment history, and patients and their families can also track treatment information through apps.

In addition, medical facilities have deployed the creation of electronic health records for people to manage and provide primary health care. To date, over 91% of people in the province have had electronic health records created. Electronic health records are connected and integrated into the VNeID App, reaching over 27% of the total population in Ca Mau province. Implement the Project to develop data applications on population, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030. Thereby, bringing clear convenience to people when going to see a doctor and receiving treatment. No more waiting, cumbersome procedures, and messy paper records. Ms. Dao Thi Tuyet Linh , Hamlet 5, Bac Lieu Ward, Ca Mau Province "Today, when I came here to see a doctor, the students guided me to get an automatic number, and I found it easier and faster than before. When I went through the procedure to get a number, I was immediately transferred to the clinic without having to wait. I think this improvement in the medical examination process is very convenient for people." Doctor Tran Van Hoa , Head of the Examination Department, Bac Lieu General Hospital, Ca Mau Province "Previously, people coming to see a doctor had to bring their health insurance and photo ID. Currently, the Hospital is promoting digital transformation in receiving medical examinations through many applications. You only need a citizen ID card, a VneID app on your phone with full documents integrated, or the VssID app of the Vietnam Social Security to be able to register for medical examination. Next to that, the Hospital has a kiosk so people can register for medical examination themselves."

Digital transformation also brings positive effects in inpatient treatment such as: Patient's paraclinical results are performed quickly, interconnected connection helps consultation easily and makes timely treatment intervention decisions. Doctors and nurses can easily look up electronic medical records, avoiding errors when prescribing. Patients' relatives can update the treatment situation to reduce anxiety and monitor hospital fees and health insurance, especially serving patients in transferring to higher levels of treatment.

People can pay hospital fees without using cash through e-wallets, QR code scanning or POS machines. Up to now, 100% of hospitals and medical centers with beds have deployed cashless payment applications. Doctor Nguyen Chi Thanh, Director of the Department of Health of Ca Mau province, "In the past, although there were many difficulties in technical infrastructure and funding, with the strong direction of the health sector, Ca Mau has achieved many important results. 100% of administrative procedures have been carried out online, especially procedures in medical examination and treatment registration and cashless payment. This is the struggle and effort of all medical staff."

Thanks to the acceleration of digital transformation, hospitals and medical centers have been creating a faster, more transparent and more convenient medical examination and treatment journey than ever before. Convenient and fast medical examination and treatment have also created trust among the people.
