Effectiveness from job connection for rural workers

Talking to us, comrade Pham Quang Dan - Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Tam Duong district said: “In nearly 7 years (from 2018 to May 2025) of implementing the Coordination Regulations, with the attention and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the close coordination between agencies, units, mass organizations of the district, communes in Tam Duong district with the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries College, the recruitment of workers to study and work at the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group has had encouraging results. Specifically: 211 workers in the district are working and studying at the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group, enjoying benefits during their studies, internships, and after graduation, with relatively high salaries. Many workers in Tam Duong district are typical workers of the Group such as: Lo Van Bun (Ban Bo commune), Vang Van Pha, Lo Van Ngan, Lo Van Panh (Na Tam commune), Lo Van Son (Khun Ha commune)... have an average income of 17-34 million VND/month. Thereby, contributing to job creation, income increase, and social security in the district.
During the study period, students enjoy benefits such as: practical study time at school, students enjoy the regimes and benefits according to regulations, support for vehicles to take students from Tam Duong district to school; the school serves free meals 3 meals/day; 7 days/week; is arranged free accommodation in clean, modern dormitories with private rooms of 6 people/room. After that, students must participate in a 4-month internship at companies under the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group, during which time students receive a salary of 12-16 million VND/month. After graduation, students are arranged jobs immediately by businesses, with a salary of 17-25 million VND/month excluding overtime. Along with that, they enjoy all benefits according to the Labor Code such as: social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, holidays, and Tet. In particular, there are bonuses during the Lunar New Year every year based on the company's business results, many employees are rewarded from 30 to 50 million VND.

Leaders of Thong Nhat Coal Company and Vietnam College of Coal and Minerals consult, recruit, and introduce jobs to workers in Then Sin commune (Tam Duong district).

Khun Ha Commune is one of the localities of Tam Duong district with many workers studying and working at coal companies in Quang Ninh province. Thanks to the high income from working far away, families have good economic conditions, can build solid houses, and take care of their children's education.
Ms. Sung Thi A (San Phang Thap village, Khun Ha commune) shared: “In the past, the family's economy was difficult and hard. After being encouraged by the staff to go to work, my husband (Cu A Lu) boldly registered and went to work at the coal company since 2023. Every month, in addition to his personal living expenses at the company, my husband sends me an average of 15 million VND to cover living expenses and take care of the children. After working at the coal company for more than 2 years, my family has saved up and built a spacious and sturdy house. I try to actively work in production, take care of the children, and encourage my husband to work with peace of mind so that life can be more prosperous."
The family of Mr. Giang A Ngai in Then Pa village (Ta Leng commune) also works at Quang Ninh Coal Company. In the conversation with Mr. Ngai, we learned that he has been working at the company since 2024, with an income of 27-38 million VND/month. Mr. Ngai shared: “Previously, I worked as a driver with an average income of 8-9 million VND, just enough to cover my living expenses. When I was informed about working at a coal company with a higher income, I decided to leave my family and go to work at a coal company in Quang Ninh from November 2024. After being trained by the workshop staff, I quickly got used to and mastered the job. Currently, my main job is digging tunnels and mining coal. Every day, I work in shifts of 8 hours. The company's benefits are very good, the salary is quite high compared to other jobs. When I saw that the job was stable and the salary was high, I encouraged my wife to go work at a garment company in Quang Ninh. Every month, I send money back to support the children at home, my wife and I save an average of 20-25 million VND, my family will try to save up to build a decent house in 2026".
Studying and working at coal companies under the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group has brought positive results, contributing to improving knowledge and skills for rural workers, thereby creating stable jobs with high income, contributing to sustainable socio-economic development in the locality.
