Open letter from the principal of Phan Van Tri Primary School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City)
On the Fanpage of Phan Van Tri Primary School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), an open letter from Mr. Le Hong Thai, the school's principal, is spreading, expressing his refusal to accept flowers to congratulate Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, and instead asking for notebooks, books, and sports equipment to reward students' activities...
Accordingly, the letter of Principal Le Hong Thai just posted on the Fanpage of Phan Van Tri Primary School has the following content:
" Every year, on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, the school receives many congratulatory flower baskets. However, these flowers are only used for a few days and then thrown away, which is a waste. This year, due to the difficult economic situation, through this open letter, the school respectfully requests that instead of giving flowers, our sponsors, businesses and organizations please change the form by giving notebooks, milk and sports equipment so that the school can reward the students.
This November, the school's main activities are the Illustrated Storytelling Contest and Phan Van Tri Challenge 2024. The goal of the activities is to help students develop comprehensively in terms of intelligence, physical strength and aesthetics.
The school hopes to receive support and sharing from sponsors, businesses and organizations to bring practical gifts, directly support children in training their mind, body and aesthetics, and encourage them to confidently participate in useful playgrounds.
Every contribution of yours, big or small, is a source of motivation for us and our students in the journey of developing knowledge and personality ."
Sharing with Thanh Nien newspaper reporter, Mr. Le Hong Thai, Principal of Phan Van Tri Primary School, said that every year, on the occasion of celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, the school organizes activities, creating a playground for teachers, students, and parents to participate and connect. However, the school is located in a difficult area, so there are no conditions to reward students, so the above idea was born.
"The school hopes that instead of giving flowers to congratulate the school, these flower baskets will be converted into milk, notebooks, and specific objects by individuals, groups, agencies, and partner units for the school to reward and encourage students to participate in the school's playground activities," said the principal of Phan Van Tri Primary School.
