On October 25, Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, inspected the site and worked with relevant units and localities on the preparation for the groundbreaking of the Primary and Secondary Boarding School Project in 7 border communes in the area.
According to the plan, schools will be invested and built in Klah village (Ia Mo commune), Goong (Ia Púch commune), Chan (Ia Pnôn commune), Mook Trang (Ia Dom commune), Lang (Ia Chia commune) and Dang (Ia O commune).

The project is implemented synchronously in terms of architecture, technical infrastructure and teaching equipment. The educational scale at 7 schools with 212 classrooms, 7,108 students (average 35 students per class).
The total capital for project implementation is more than 1,516 billion VND, of which the central budget is nearly 1,468 billion VND, the remaining of the province is more than 48 billion VND.
According to Mr. Pham Van Nam, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province, the construction of primary and secondary boarding schools for ethnic minorities in 7 border communes aims to standardize facilities, ensure study and boarding places for students, contribute to reducing the dropout rate and improve the quality of education in ethnic minority areas.
In addition, the project also contributes to creating stable conditions, attracting teachers to stay long-term in the border area, and at the same time building a comprehensive, safe and healthy educational environment.
In his speech, Mr. Lam Hai Giang requested the People's Committees of border communes to urgently coordinate with units under Army Corps 15 to unify the compensation and site clearance plan; complete the dossier, approve and implement before October 29.
He assigned the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Construction, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and the consulting unit to review the entire master plan, make appropriate adjustments to get opinions from the communes, and complete the detailed planning before October.
The Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and Ia Nan Commune People's Committee to develop a plan to organize the project groundbreaking ceremony, scheduled to take place on November 2, ensuring thoughtfulness, safety, solemnity and economy.
He emphasized that relevant units and localities must enhance their sense of responsibility, ensure quality and construction progress according to regulations, meet people's needs, and effectively promote the policies of the Party and State.
