The total capital for the project is over 1.516 billion VND, of which nearly 1.468 billion VND comes from the central government budget, and the remaining over 48 billion VND comes from the province.
According to Mr. Pham Van Nam, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province, the construction of boarding schools for ethnic minorities at the primary and secondary levels in 7 border communes aims to standardize facilities, ensure school places and boarding accommodation for students, contribute to reducing the dropout rate, and improve the quality of education in ethnic minority areas.
In addition, the project contributes to creating stable conditions and attracting teachers to stay long-term in border areas, while building a comprehensive, safe, and healthy educational environment.
In his directive, Mr. Lam Hai Giang requested that the People's Committees of the border communes urgently coordinate with units under the 15th Army Corps to finalize compensation and land clearance plans; complete the dossiers, approve and implement them before October 29th.
He instructed the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Construction, the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board, and the consulting unit to review the entire overall site plan, make adjustments accordingly, gather feedback from the communes, and finalize the detailed plan before October.
The Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board and the Ia Nan Commune People's Committee to develop a plan for organizing the groundbreaking ceremony for the project, scheduled to take place on November 2nd, ensuring it is thorough, safe, solemn, and economical.
