After a 1-3 defeat against Ha Tinh in round 21 of V-League 2024/25, the leadership of Binh Duong Club decided to say goodbye to coach Nguyen Cong Manh, even though he had previously asked to resign but was retained.

According to information from the football team of Thu Dau Mot, before agreeing to terminate the contract with the coach from Nghe An, Binh Duong Club contacted and convinced former striker Anh Duc to return to lead.

Under coach Nguyen Cong Manh, Binh Duong Club only won 1, drew 3, and lost 6 to drop from the top group to the bottom of the rankings after 21 rounds.

Coach Anh Duc is the third person to sit in the captain's seat at the Thu Dau Mot team after Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan and Nguyen Cong Manh.

Coach Anh Duc's first match leading Binh Duong was the confrontation with Quang Nam at Go Dau Stadium on May 11.
