Attending the conference were comrades: Vo Van Dung - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Nguyen Ba Chau - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Cooperative Union, along with representatives of departments, branches, Nghe An Agricultural Extension Center, Cooperative Unions of provinces and cities and many cooperatives in the area.

In the context of an increasingly competitive market economy , the collective economic sector, especially cooperatives in Nghe An, has been making positive changes. As of mid-2025, the whole province had 912 cooperatives in operation, of which 61.4% were operating effectively. Not only increasing in quantity, cooperatives also significantly improved in quality of operations, with an average revenue of more than 2.2 billion VND/cooperative/year, and an average labor income of 59 million VND/person/year.

Trade promotion and supply-demand connection are being identified as the key to boosting the added value of the Cooperative’s products. In recent years, Nghe An Cooperative Union has organized a series of fairs, green markets, and trade promotion conferences inside and outside the province, contributing to bringing agricultural products, food, medicinal herbs, handicrafts, etc. to consumers nationwide.
Specifically, more than 200 cooperatives have been supported to participate in major fairs, 50 memorandums of understanding have been signed with partners outside the province, many products such as Thien Nhan lemon, Bac village lotus, turmeric starch, Cua Hoi fish sauce... have entered large supermarkets such as Lotte, Go! Vinh and appeared in more than 30 provinces and cities. In particular, 278 cooperatives (accounting for 32%) have had output contracts - a key factor helping cooperative products develop sustainably.

In the digital age, the application of e-commerce is considered a strategic direction. Currently, 100% of cooperatives in Nghe An have used 4G network for operations, over 500 cooperatives have been trained in digital transformation, more than 300 products have been updated on the provincial e-commerce platform and national platforms such as Shopee, Tiki, Lazada, Postmart...
At the conference, in addition to the achieved results, representatives of cooperatives also pointed out the shortcomings and difficulties of current cooperative products in connecting supply and demand. Many cooperative products have not met market standards, packaging and designs are still sketchy, not competitive enough in the supermarket system and large retail chains. The application of e-commerce is still uneven, a part of cooperatives are not familiar with online sales, livestream, and have not made good use of social networks for promotion.

In the coming time, to further improve the efficiency of connecting supply - demand and product consumption for the collective economic sector, the Nghe An Province Cooperative Union will focus on implementing many synchronous solutions. In particular, focusing on supporting cooperatives to build a value chain linking production - processing - consumption; consulting on brand development, product standardization; promoting the application of digital technology and e-commerce in trade promotion activities.

In addition, the Cooperative Union will continue to coordinate with departments, branches, localities and Cooperative Unions of provinces and cities to organize large-scale supply-demand connection fairs and conferences; strengthen connections with modern distribution systems and clean agricultural product store chains; expand cooperation with e-commerce platforms and strongly promote the image of modern and professional cooperatives.

Within the framework of the conference, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Nghe An Province Cooperative Union and provincial and municipal cooperative unions, and between cooperative units and product consumption units.
