Miss Vietnam Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Duy recently held a press conference to share about her journey to compete in Miss International 2025.

The beauty born in 2003 said that she had prepared carefully for the contest, especially the social project called Beauty for health , aiming at the United Nations' sustainable development goal number 3 on health and wellness. She went to many provinces and cities to provide medicine cabinets for local health centers, hoping that timely action could save many lives.

Kieu Duy shared: "The project focuses on providing and supplementing medicine cabinets for medical centers in provinces and cities such as Dien Bien, Long An , Tay Ninh... I think that taking timely actions for patient emergency care is extremely important. There are patients who do not receive timely emergency care just because of a very common disease but it causes unfortunate consequences, affecting their whole life."

In addition to the project, the beauty also received support from a team of designers for her costumes, especially Do Long, who will be in charge of designing the evening gown for the final night. Kieu Duy said the best preparation is self-confidence.

When asked about the pressure of representing Vietnam after the resounding victory of Miss Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy in 2024, Kieu Duy frankly said: "The fact that Vietnam has the Miss International crown is something I am absolutely proud of. But the pressure I feel is not Thanh Thuy's achievements but how to become the best version of myself."

Kieu Duy aims to bring the image of a Vietnamese woman who is confident, brave and willing to learn. She shared in English: "I did not come here to compete, to win. I came here to share the good things in Vietnam and learn from other countries. That is what Miss International 2025 is looking for."

Regarding comments doubting her beauty and ability, Kieu Duy expressed: "If I have any flaws, I am willing to improve. Everyone has their own definition of beauty and I cannot force anyone to compliment me on my beauty."

Miss International Vietnam President Pham Kim Dung did not hide the pressure of sending Kieu Duy to compete right after Thanh Thuy's victory. She shared: "One person has just won the crown, the next person will be very nervous. We are really under pressure."

Ms. Kim Dung also emphasized that there is an element of luck involved in the competition, winning or losing is natural. The job of the organizing committee is to organize the domestic competition properly, professionally, and fairly to select the most deserving person, then train them and send them to the international competition.

Director Hoang Nhat Nam - representative of the management unit, further explained: "There are national directors complaining that in the past ten years of copyright ownership, they have never been in the top. They feel very sad when they receive any secondary awards. But Vietnam is one of the countries with impressive awards and has attracted attention with international crowns."

The director also mentioned that Thanh Thuy was criticized when she was first crowned, but later she made progress.

The Miss International 2025 final will take place on November 27.
