Miss International 2024 Thanh Thuy is in Guatemala to kick off a series of international activities. The first activity is a visit to FUNDAL (Fundación Guatemalteca para Niños con Sordoceguera Alex) - Guatemalan Foundation for children with hearing loss, visual impairment and multiple disabilities.

Accompanying Thanh Thuy in this activity are Miss International 2024 1st Runner-up Camila Roca from Bolivia and Miss International Guatemala 2024 Helen Morales.

FUNDAL is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children with hearing loss, visual impairment, and other diverse developmental challenges. These children are often denied the opportunity to reach their full potential and participate fully in society.

Here, Thanh Thuy participated in activities with the disabled such as baking. Specifically, the beauty queen directly worked as a kitchen assistant, accompanying the children in every small step from kneading dough to baking cakes.

In particular, Thanh Thuy experienced a simulation of the life of deaf and blind children. She was blindfolded and kept silent, using only her sense of touch and intuition to communicate and move.

Not only stopping at experiencing, Thanh Thuy also learned and practiced basic sign language to be able to communicate directly with deaf children. This action shows respect and the desire to connect genuinely with special circumstances.

Through this experience, Thanh Thuy expressed: "I was moved when I understood the difficulties in the daily life of the children without a pair of bright eyes. I was also touched and appreciated the feelings of the staff here - those who are silently supporting and caring for the children so that they can study, grow up and live like normal people."

Thanh Thuy's trip to Guatemala is part of Miss International 2024's international activities, including outstanding events such as cultural exchanges, media meetings, cooperation witheducational and community development organizations in the Latin American region.
