La Passione Concert in Ho Chi Minh City and Travel to Italy

After the success of the " La Passione" Concert held last March in Hanoi , two young artists Hien Nguyen Soprano and Quoc Dat Bass - Baritone suddenly announced this live concert tour in both Vietnam and Italy. Specifically, La Passione will be held at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater on the evening of June 16 and travel to Perugia - Italy on July 25.

The La Passione concert is a program that marks the great efforts of soprano singer Hien Nguyen Soprano and baritone singer Quoc Dat in proactively organizing a tour to bring classical music to audiences at home and abroad, becoming a bridge of cultural exchange between Vietnam and Italy.

The program consists of two parts. In the first part, with chamber songs and classic opera excerpts, Hien Nguyen and Quoc Dat will sing with the piano of Professor Gianni Kriscak (Graz University of Music and Performing Arts - Austria). Some typical works in this part include: Song Lo epic (musician Van Cao); Aria "Quando m'en vo (When I walk through) - excerpt from the opera La Bohème by Italian composer Puccini (1858-1924); Torna a Surriento (Return to Surriento) familiar to Vietnamese audiences through the Vietnamese lyrics Return to the old roof ; Napoli (Canzone napoletana); Come un'ape ne' giorni d'aprile ( Like a bee in the middle of an April day) excerpted from the opera La Cenerentola (Cinderella).

Part 2 includes Vietnamese and international songs performed in a semi-classical style mixed with other styles such as smooth jazz, pop... Some typical works are: Grass and rain, The most beautiful summer, Peace, Caruso, Besame mucho, Je'taime, My way...

Hien Nguyen Soprano duet with Quoc Dat Bass – Baritone

Gianni Kriscak is an Italian professor, currently teaching theater music at the University of Music and Performance in Graz - Austria. As an opera instructor, he has worked and trained for nearly 90 operas. He is also a famous pianist and has accompanied many of the world's leading opera artists such as Sumi Jo, Sun Xiu Wei, Maria Guleghina, José Cura, Juan Diego Florez, Marcelo Alvarez, Edita Gruberova ...

In addition, he also conducted the orchestra for famous operas Die Zauberflöte - The Magic Cloak , Cosi fan tutte - School of Love (Mozart), Madama Butterfly, Turandot (Puccini)... He also conducted many opera workshops in many places around the world, including Vietnam.

Hien Nguyen Soprano graduated with a Master's degree in performance from the Vietnam National Academy of Music. In 2012, she received an Italian government scholarship to study for 2 years at the Milan Conservatory. She collaborated with many units such as the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, the Vietnam National Song and Dance Theater...

She has had many solo concerts such as: Belle Duette 2015, Moc Mien 2018, Love 2021, La Passione 2024. She released the album Love and Dream in 2021. Currently, she is studying as a PhD student at the Central University of Art Education.

Quoc Dat Bass – Baritone is currently a senior student at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. At the end of 2003, he won first prize in the professional category of the 2023 National Chamber Music Competition in Hanoi. He has released 3 MVs at the National Defense and Security Television Station, Da Lat Flower Festival: Love song, Spring melody, You are the belief in certain victory.
