Students create comics using AI at STEM festival

The organizers of the STEM festival in Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh City were surprised by the students' creative AI products in the content 'creating comics with AI'.

On November 2, the STEM festival with the theme "Digital Citizen Journey" jointly organized by the Economic Department and the Department of Education and Training of Tan Phu district at Ton That Tung Secondary School brought many memorable experiences to students.

About 1,000 primary and secondary school students enthusiastically participated in games such as controlling model racing cars, controlling robots, answering questions about English, social and natural sciences... on computers, Robotic games, AI games, as well as physical games such as throwing balls, quizzes from dozens of playgrounds brought to the festival by schools and units.

At the festival, students also learned about STEM models, technical innovation, AI... brought by students to the competition...

The new point in this STEM festival is that the district organized a competition for both primary and secondary school students to "create comics using AI". Accordingly, students use AI to draw and create comics based on their ability to use AI and their imagination and language ability.

"When looking at the images and comics that students created using AI, the organizers were surprised by the quality and flexibility of the students' use of technology.

The school will continue to conduct research to use AI to promote useful learning for students," said Mr. Lo Quoc Khai - an expert from the Department of Education and Training of Tan Phu district.

Students enjoy many enriching experiences

At the festival, the students had a great day of fun and had many rich experiences. Hao Tuong (student of Hiep Tan Primary School, Tan Phu District) was sweating profusely but very happy, saying: "I played many games. My favorite game is controlling a robot to fight against another friend."

Meanwhile, Minh Nghi - a student at Vo Thanh Trang Secondary School - said: "At the festival, I saw many friends making very good products, learned many things and had a memorable experience."
