PV: Sir, the 2025 Autumn Fair is organized on a large scale and attracts widespread attention. Could you share the event's goals and importance in connecting supply and demand, especially in the current economic context?

- The 2025 Autumn Fair is not just a regular trade promotion event but is designed as a "Supply - Demand Meeting Point", strategic for the whole year and many years to come. With the participation of more than 2,500 domestic enterprises and about 100 international enterprises, the fair creates an unprecedentedly vibrant trading space.

The core objective is to optimize the distribution system, forming a closed value chain by directly connecting manufacturers, especially small and medium enterprises and cooperatives, with modern distribution channels. In the context of economic recovery and deep integration, domestic trade promotion must aim at creating a sustainable value chain. Fairs help businesses find partners, expand distribution channels, and establish long-term consumption channels, creating a foundation for future commercial activities.

PV: What specific mechanisms has the Trade Promotion Agency prepared to ensure optimal connection efficiency, especially between manufacturers and major distribution channels?

- We focus on two key mechanisms to transform potential into real efficiency. The first is to organize specialized trade connections. This is a separate area arranged for large distribution systems such as supermarkets, convenience store chains, etc. to meet directly with manufacturers. The Department proactively surveys specific needs in terms of types, output and standards from large distributors, thereby organizing connection sessions with clear objectives, aiming to sign long-term, sustainable consumption contracts.

The second is standardization of supply. We have worked closely with relevant units to support local businesses in improving product quality, improving packaging and labels, especially promoting traceability, especially for OCOP products and typical rural industrial products. This mechanism ensures abundant supply at the Fair, meeting the strict standards of modern distribution channels, while helping businesses learn and improve their products according to the actual needs of the market.

Digital leverage, regional connectivity and macro impact

PV: In the face of the global trend of digital transformation, how has the 2025 Autumn Fair integrated technology into this large-scale physical event to optimize trade promotion effectiveness and expand international influence?

- Digital transformation is an indispensable pillar in the national trade promotion strategy. At the Autumn Fair 2025, the digital element is fully integrated through the establishment of an online connection platform parallel to the physical event. This platform enables international distributors and buyers, who cannot participate directly, to still participate in virtual trading sessions, access digital catalogs and make direct appointments with Vietnamese suppliers.

The fair helps businesses find partners, expand distribution channels, and establish long-term consumption channels.

In parallel, businesses are supported to set up booths on e-commerce platforms and logistics platforms, expanding digital consumption channels. In-depth seminars on cross-border and domestic sales skills in cyberspace are also held. This is a dual strategy, helping businesses solve short-term output at the Fair and establish a sustainable digital distribution channel in the long term. The ultimate goal is to optimize the domestic market while strongly promoting export activities.

PV: In your opinion, how does the Fair affect regional economic development and promote the culture of consuming Vietnamese products?

- Developing the domestic market must be linked to exploiting regional economic potential and linking local supply chains. The fair is a place to gather typical products from provinces, arranged by topic and region, creating conditions for the Department of Industry and Trade and local trade promotion centers to participate in promoting brands.

The event not only helps local products have outlets but also creates opportunities to find upstream supply partners, promote intra-regional and inter-economic linkages, and form a unified national supply network. We also encourage businesses to display products that meet green standards, have clear origins, and are environmentally friendly, helping consumers access high-quality Vietnamese goods and form a culture of responsible consumption.

PV: Could you please share about the long-term strategy of the 2025 Autumn Fair, from the connection with macro policies to stimulate aggregate demand, to the plan of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to maintain effective connections after the event and contribute to strengthening the national brand?

- The 2025 Fall Fair is designed as an overall strategic solution, not a short-term activity.

The 2025 Autumn Fair is not only an annual trade promotion event but also a strategic solution in domestic trade development.

First of all, in terms of macro and stimulus impacts, the event is held in the context of fiscal and microfinance policies being implemented to promote growth. For example, the increase in the personal income tax deduction from 2026, although effective later, has created a positive sentiment about future disposable income. This is a direct and clear boost to aggregate demand. The fair helps businesses anticipate the trend of increasing purchasing power, signing long-term contracts, increasing revenue and optimizing the supply chain.

Second, we consider the Fair as the initial launch pad, not the end. After the event, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to implement trade promotion activities in a chain, organize specialized fairs and business connection programs in many localities to maintain and develop established business relationships. In particular, we will coordinate with Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to support businesses in expanding export markets, prioritizing output connections for products that have been upgraded to quality standards at the Fair.
