Conference of the Provincial People's Committee to consider and recognize Giao Thuy district as meeting advanced NTM standards

Comrade Tran Anh Dung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for National Target Programs of the province chaired the Conference of the Provincial People's Committee to consider and recognize Giao Thuy district as meeting advanced NTM standards.

After 6 years of implementing the construction of an advanced new rural district, up to now, Giao Thuy district has 18/20 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards, 2 towns meeting the civilized urban standards. Of which, 13/20 communes meet the advanced new rural standards according to the set of criteria for the period 2021-2025, reaching 65% of the communes; 11/20 communes meet the model new rural standards for the period 2021-2025, reaching 55% of the communes ; Giao Thuy district meets 9/9 criteria according to the set of criteria for advanced rural districts in the 2021-2025 period and has no outstanding debts in basic construction. The Fatherland Front Committees at all levels synchronously and effectively implemented the voting to assess people's satisfaction with the results of building Giao Thuy advanced rural district with a rate of 99% of people surveyed satisfied with the results. At the Conference, members of the Steering Committee of the National Target Programs of the province voted to agree that Giao Thuy district meets the standards of an advanced rural district in 2023.

Concluding the Conference, comrade Tran Anh Dung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for National Target Programs of the province highly appreciated the determination and drastic measures in building an advanced NTM district of Giao Thuy district. At the same time, he requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Provincial NTM Coordination Office to focus on completing the dossier to submit to the Central Government for consideration and recognition of Giao Thuy district as meeting the standards of an advanced NTM district in 2023.
