Strengthening fire prevention and fighting inspection and ensuring safety in electricity use

The Provincial People's Committee issued a document directing the provincial departments, branches and sectors; the People's Committees of districts and Nam Dinh city and Nam Dinh Electricity Company to strengthen inspection of fire prevention and fighting work and ensure safety in electricity use.

Accordingly, implementing Official Dispatch No. 59 dated June 17, 2024 of the Prime Minister, in order to continue to strengthen fire prevention and fighting and ensure safety in electricity use, contributing to limiting fires and explosions, the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province directs the Provincial Police to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade, People's Committees of districts, Nam Dinh city and related units to continue to seriously, drastically, effectively and substantially implement documents and instructions of the Government, the Prime Minister, and the Provincial People's Committee on fire prevention and fighting; review, classify, and immediately have effective solutions on fire prevention and fighting for subjects and establishments at high risk of fire and explosion, especially multi-storey houses, many apartments, rental houses, houses combined with production and business, means and equipment using electricity, strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law; Strengthen propaganda and guidance on fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue and relief skills for people and facilities at high risk of fire and explosion in the area. Department of Information and Communications, Departmentof Education and Training coordinate with People's Committees of districts and cities of Nam Dinh to strengthen warnings of fire and explosion risks, especially on sunny and hot days; continue to propagate knowledge and skills on fire prevention, fire fighting, and escape skills in emergency situations for students and children during the summer vacation in appropriate forms.

The People's Committees of Nam Dinh districts and cities and Nam Dinh Electricity Company assigned staff to "go to every alley, knock on every door" to inspect and guide people in managing and using electricity safely, overcoming the situation of using electricity incorrectly, not according to the manufacturer's requirements, contributing to limiting fires and explosions caused by electricity./
