On the morning of May 10th, the Central Propaganda Department, in coordination with the Central Economic Department and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), organized a conference to disseminate and implement Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW, dated October 10, 2023, of the Politburo on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new era.
Attending the conference at the Hanoi venue were Central Party Committee Secretary and Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia; Central Party Committee Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai; Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee Nguyen Duc Hien; and VCCI President Pham Tan Cong… The conference was conducted online nationwide. At the Binh Thuan venue, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Propaganda Department Vo Thanh Binh chaired the conference.
In addition, the event included representatives from the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee; representatives from the leadership of various departments, agencies, the Provincial Business Association, the Young Entrepreneurs Association, the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Club, and online connections to district, town, and city Party committees.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Duc Hien presented a report on the main contents of Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW. Regarding the content of the tasks and solutions, the Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee informed that, in addition to inheriting the tasks and solutions that still retain their value from Resolution 09-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW has rearranged and supplemented some new tasks and solutions; many contents within the tasks and solutions have been innovated and perfected to meet the viewpoints, objectives and suitability to the new context.
Resolution 41 identified the business community as having a crucial position and role, being one of the core forces contributing to the acceleration of industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration; building and developing an independent and self-reliant economy, ensuring national defense and security. It emphasized strengthening linkages and cooperation within the business community, and between entrepreneurs and workers, farmers, and intellectuals, to jointly achieve national development goals. The resolution also clearly stated the important requirement of strengthening the Party's leadership role, leveraging the strength of the Vietnamese business community, and creating a favorable, safe, and equitable investment and business environment for enterprises to develop.
It is known that the Government has also recently issued Resolution No. 66/NQ-CP, the Government's action program to implement Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW. Accordingly, the goal from now until 2030 is to have at least 2 million businesses, including the formation and development of many entrepreneurs leading strong economic groups with potential and competitiveness in domestic and international markets, playing a pioneering role in important sectors of the economy. By 2030, at least 10 Vietnamese entrepreneurs will be included in the list of the world's USD billionaires, and 5 of the most powerful entrepreneurs in Asia as selected by prestigious international organizations…
Through this conference, the aim is to help business leaders grasp the Party's viewpoints and policies, and the State's laws and regulations, striving to develop a strong and large-scale business community with vision, intelligence, ethics, and entrepreneurial spirit; to achieve legitimate wealth, to be dynamic and creative, to possess advanced management capabilities, and to have a national identity. They should also demonstrate social responsibility, environmental awareness, and make worthy contributions to the country's development goals…
