National conference to study, learn and thoroughly grasp the Resolution of the 8th Conference of the Party Central Committee

On December 4, the Politburo and the Secretariat held a national conference to study and disseminate the Resolution of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee. The conference was connected online from the Dien Hong meeting room (National Assembly House) to 16,242 points of the Central Committees, Ministries, branches, municipal Party Committees, provincial Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Central Committee, and expanded to the grassroots level with nearly 1,500,000 Party members attending.

The conference was attended by Politburo members: President Vo Van Thuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission Truong Thi Mai. Also attending the conference were Politburo members, Secretariat members; former Politburo members, Secretariat members; members of the 13th Party Central Committee and key officials at all levels.

Attending the conference at the provincial bridge point were comrades: Nguyen Duc Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, former Standing members of the Provincial Party Committee, former members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

The conference listened to President Vo Van Thuong deliver a speech on the topic "Continuing to promote the tradition and strength of the great national unity, building our country to be more and more prosperous and happy"; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh delivered a speech on the topic "Continuing to innovate and improve the quality of social policies, meeting the requirements of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period"; General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Minister of National Defense delivered a speech on the topic "Strategy for defending the Fatherland in the new situation" and Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia delivered a speech on the topic "Continuing to build and promote the role of the intellectual team to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new period".

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission, requested Party committees and organizations at all levels to thoroughly grasp and widely disseminate the resolutions in their localities, agencies and units. At the same time, promptly develop plans and action programs to implement the Resolution of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee in a specific, practical and effective manner. The Politburo and the Secretariat believe that with a high sense of responsibility in researching, studying, grasping, disseminating and implementing, together with the drastic and synchronous participation of the political system, the solidarity and unanimous response of the people, the resolutions of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee will soon come into life, achieve many good results and contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
