Online conference introducing artificial intelligence in Internal Affairs and citizen identification, electronic identification of population data

On the morning of March 14, the Central Committee for Internal Affairs held a thematic conference to introduce artificial intelligence (AI), citizen identification, electronic identification, and population data.

The conference was held in both in-person and online formats to 63 points of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission and the Central City Party Committee. Comrade Vo Van Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission attended and chaired the conference.

Attending at the Ninh Binh bridge point were comrade Le Huu Quy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; leaders and officials of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee.

At the conference, delegates were presented by experts from the Vietnam Blockchain Technology Association (Vietnam Blockchain Association), the Blockchain Technology Institute and artificial intelligence with an overview of AI and AI applications in internal affairs. Experts also made suggestions on applying AI in administrative procedure reform in accordance with the context of Vietnam, such as: automating the review and assessment of administrative procedures through AI to reduce time and increase transparency; analyzing big data to improve the business environment; applying AI in checking and monitoring administrative procedures; improving online public services through chatbots and AI virtual assistants...

Also within the framework of the conference, representatives of the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order, Ministry of Public Security reported on the process and results of 2 years of implementing Project 06 "Developing applications of data on population, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030".

At the same time, it is recommended that the Internal Affairs sector coordinate and support research on features and applications from population data, citizen identification, and electronic identification to serve the creation of specialized databases that the Internal Affairs Department is managing. At the same time, add the feature of sending complaints and denunciations via the VNeID application to improve the effectiveness of handling complaints and denunciations, preventing corruption and negativity...

In particular, people can reflect, make recommendations, and denounce corruption on the VNeID application anytime, anywhere via smartphones. People reflecting, making recommendations, and denouncing online will avoid repression and retaliation from the denounced person. In addition, it is recommended to coordinate in building software to resolve complaints and denunciations.

Concluding the conference, the leader of the Central Internal Affairs Committee affirmed: At the conference, experts from the Vietnam Blockchain Technology Association, the Institute of Blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence, representatives of the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order, Ministry of Public Security conveyed very useful and practical information, helping cadres, civil servants and public employees of the Party Internal Affairs sector to better understand artificial intelligence, citizen identification, electronic identification, population data according to Project 06 of the Government, and also recommended important contents to continue to research and study in depth to better serve professional work.

The leaders of the Central Internal Affairs Committee requested that cadres and civil servants of the Party Internal Affairs sector continue to study, research, and update more in-depth knowledge of artificial intelligence, grasp and strictly comply with legal regulations on citizen identification, electronic identification, and population data to best apply them in their work and life.
