Mr. Nguyen Tien Trong said that this recognition decision is a particularly important sign, recognizing the Church's efforts in complying with the law and accompanying the nation over the years, and opening a new path with more rights and obligations, as well as more opportunities.
According to Mr. Trong, under the new legal conditions, under the leadership of the Executive Board of the General Assembly recognized by law, the Church has favorable conditions to affirm its motto and purpose of operation "Serving God and complying with Vietnamese law" through "good life and good religion" deeds.
The Vietnam Full Gospel Church was established in the country in 1990. In 2018, it was granted a religious activity registration under the provisions of the Law on Belief and Religion. Currently, the church has nearly 8,000 followers, 201 locations, operating in 46 provinces and cities.
The temporary headquarters of the Church is located on the 3rd and 4th floors, Moc Gia Building, 1/12 Hoang Viet, Ward 4, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City. The current leadership of the Church is the General Assembly Executive Committee consisting of 21 members, with Mr. Dinh Thanh Hung as General Manager.
On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Tien Trong also presented the Decision approving the proposal to establish the Vietnam Baptist Theological Institute to the Vietnam Baptist General Assembly. This is the third Protestant religious training facility in our country that has been approved for establishment and this is the first training facility of the Vietnam Baptist Protestant sect.
“The decision is concrete evidence of the Party and State's attention and recognition of the leadership role of the General Assembly Executive Committee in guiding dignitaries and followers to operate in compliance with the law and stay close to the nation,” said Mr. Nguyen Tien Trong.
