On October 24, the Department of Science and Technology coordinated with the Productivity Institute to organize a workshop to announce the results of calculating the Total Factor Productivity (TFP) index in 2025 and the period 2021 - 2025.

The Productivity Institute provides information on the overview of research on labor productivity, capital productivity and total factor productivity; data processing and calculation of productivity indicators of Cao Bang in the period 2021 - 2025.

Accordingly, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the province's labor productivity tends to fluctuate slightly, gradually improving, reflecting the policy of economic recovery and restructuring in a positive direction. The growth rate of total factor productivity of the whole economy will increase sharply in 2025. However, the contribution of total factor productivity to the province's GRDP growth is still low and unsustainable, growth still depends heavily on capital and simple labor factors. Environmental barriers for innovation and technology absorption, the quality of human resources do not meet the requirements of digital transformation; the link between Scientists - Enterprises - State is still loose, in particular, the speed of technological innovation in enterprises is still slow.

At the workshop, delegates exchanged and discussed solutions to promote TFP growth in the province in the period of 2026 - 2030. In particular, focusing on solutions to improve provincial competitiveness PCI; promote administrative procedure reform and investment environment; strengthen business support; develop infrastructure to attract investment and increase production and business efficiency; focus on investment in digital transformation, apply scientific and technological achievements to develop key economic sectors...

The workshop is a practical basis for the science and technology sector to advise the province to issue breakthrough and practical policies; striving towards the target of 40% total factor productivity and double-digit GRDP growth in the coming time.
