Health officials from An Cựu ward check the health of Mr. Nguyen Van Ha after he returned home.

Previously, during a prolonged period of heavy rain, the People's Committee of An Cuu Ward organized a force to inspect and survey the situation in low-lying areas, proactively mobilizing and assisting residents to relocate to safe places. Among them, the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, residing at 34/46 Nguyen Huu Canh (Group 1 An Tay, An Cuu Ward), was one of the particularly disadvantaged households that received special attention and support.

Mrs. Hong's family is classified as a poor household. Her son, Nguyen Van Ha, suffered a brain hemorrhage and has been bedridden for many years, completely losing his ability to work. Given the unpredictable weather conditions, to ensure their safety, on the evening of October 22nd, the People's Committee of An Cuu Ward promptly mobilized forces and vehicles to relocate the entire family to the An Cuu Ward Health Station, Branch 3 (119 Vo Van Kiet Street) to take shelter from the rain and floods.

Leaders of An Cựu Ward People's Committee visited and presented gifts to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hong.

During their stay at the health station, family members received attentive care and support from health workers, militia forces, and ward officials, including food and medicine. Leaders of An Cuu ward also visited, encouraged, and provided gifts to help the family overcome their difficulties.

When the weather stabilized and the floodwaters receded, the People's Committee of the ward, in coordination with the "Zero-Cost Transportation Team," arranged for vehicles to safely transport Ms. Hong's family back home, allowing them to resume their normal lives.

This activity demonstrates the spirit of mutual support and compassion, while also showcasing the proactive approach, responsibility, and humanity of the An Cuu ward authorities in flood prevention and control, and in assisting residents in the area.
