National Scientific Conference on Sustainable Agriculture for Food Security and Food Safety

(ABO) On November 27, at Tien Giang University, the National Scientific Conference on Sustainable Agriculture for Food Security and Food Safety AFS2023 took place.

The workshop was attended by scientists and experts from the universities of An Giang, Can Tho, Tien Giang, Nguyen Tat Thanh and the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Tien Giang.

The Organizing Committee of the conference presented flowers to thank the units and scientists.

The workshop consisted of two plenary and parallel sessions. At the plenary session, scientists and delegates discussed the achievements in sustainable agricultural development in the Southwest region and development orientations in the coming time; application of mechanization towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions and circular agriculture; the current status of high-tech shrimp farming, antibiotic residues in food.

In the parallel session, delegates continued to discuss issues related to the impacts of the environment and production processes on the quality of agricultural products. Along with that, scientists also discussed the survey results of scientific applications on fish mint, rice, celery; analysis and experiments in agricultural production in Tay Ninh and An Giang provinces.
