More than 17 billion VND invested in dredging the regulating lake of Thanh Nien Park

DNO - In order to improve the landscape and ensure water storage capacity and regulate drainage during the rainy season, the City People's Committee has approved the investment policy to dredge the Thanh Nien Park regulating lake.

According to Decision No. 1596/QD-UB dated May 22, 2025 of the City People's Committee approving the investment policy for the project of Dredging mud in the regulating lake area of ​​Thanh Nien Park in Khue Trung ward (Cam Le district) and Hoa Cuong Nam ward (Hai Chau district).

The project has a total investment of 17.4 billion VND, the construction cost is 13.6 billion VND; investment capital comes from the city budget, implementation period 2025-2027.

The project implementation includes: dredging the lake bottom with an area of ​​about ^70,850m2 , the volume of dredged mud is estimated at ^40,747m3 ; transporting to the sludge receiving location at Ho Chuon quarry, Hoa Ninh commune, Hoa Vang district. In addition, the project also renovates and reinforces the embankment around the lake area with an area of ​​about ^1,625m2 .

The project aims to ensure water storage capacity, regulate drainage during the rainy season, address water pollution and improve the landscape at Thanh Nien Park.

The City People's Committee assigned the Project Management Board for investment in construction of civil, industrial and technical infrastructure works to manage and implement the project.
