After four nights of shows in Ho Chi Minh City, the 19th Vietnam International Fashion Week concluded with a total of 16 shows, bringing together designers and brands from France, Italy, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Vietnam.

One of the highlights of this year's event is that, for the first time, Vietnam is welcoming a haute couture fashion show by designer Julien Fournié - an official member of the Paris Haute Couture and Fashion Federation (Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode).
His "First Circus" collection marks a significant step in connecting Vietnamese fashion with international stages.

Besides Julien Fournié, the event also featured four international designers with diverse creative and aesthetic approaches from Italy, Malaysia, South Korea, and Singapore. Pictured is a collection inspired by the image of Malaysian ladies in the 1950s, from designer Kel Wen (Malaysia).

The Singaporean designer presented a collection rich in festive colors and inspired by Indian culture. Miss Bui Quynh Hoa took on the role of vedette.

For Vietnamese designers, Le Thanh Hoa made an impressive debut with his collection "The Light of Water," which explores the imagery of water as an aesthetic element, resulting in dazzling and unique designs.

Adrian Anh Tuan, Ivan Tran, Thao Nguyen, and Le Minh Ngoc maintained their creative prowess with meticulously crafted collections, while also affirming the stability of their personal design language. Several new faces and young designers also brought their own unique styles, including Vuong Khang with his distinctly experimental spirit.

Dang Trong Minh Chau is shifting her focus to exploring party fashion, moving away from the familiar image of traditional ao dai.

Traditional cultural elements are also expressed from a new perspective. Designer Cao Minh Tien explores the image of "liền anh, liên chị" (traditional male and female singers) using light materials and silhouettes. Designer Vu Viet Ha recreates the Bac Ha market with images of the Dao Dau Bang people. Designer Thanh Huong Bui combines the spirit of modern festivals with East Asian identity in her "Rose of the Dawn" collection, with Vo Hoang Yen as the vedette (pictured).

According to the organizers, the entire show featured nearly 1,000 designs with the participation of 100 makeup and hair stylists and over 200 models, including many prominent names such as Thanh Hang, H'Hen Nie, Minh Tu... along with numerous artists attending the red carpet.
However, some viewers felt that this year's show lacked impressive highlights. Some collections were considered overly theatrical but not truly captivating. On social media, many side events received more attention than the fashion itself.

Nevertheless, the 19th season marked a decade of Vietnam International Fashion Week. The organizers announced that the event is scheduled to continue in November in Hanoi .
