More than 200 workers participated in the Job Fair in My Phuoc Tay ward

(BĐT) On the morning of August 22, Dong Thap Provincial Employment Service Center coordinated with the People's Committee of My Phuoc Tay Ward and Cai Lay Secondary School to organize a job fair. The job fair had the participation of more than 200 union members, youth, students, and workers.

The job fair attracted more than 10 domestic recruitment and labor export companies and enterprises to participate. The domestic recruitment demand for nearly 2,000 job positions with many levels from unskilled, primary, intermediate, college, university with many recruiting professions: Accounting, mechanics, electronics, refrigeration, sewing technology, beverage mixing, car driving... has attracted a number of people to come for career counseling, register for recruitment, participate in direct interviews to find suitable jobs.

Many businesses and companies are recruiting more than 700 workers to work abroad, mainly in the markets of Japan, Korea, Australia... Recruiting industries include: Food packaging, mechanics, agriculture , interior decoration, auto parts assembly, carpentry, printing... with ages from 18 to 35 years old.

On this occasion, Dong Thap Provincial Employment Service Center consulted and propagated policies and laws on labor and employment for labor export participation, helping workers understand the policies of the Central and local governments on labor export and the effectiveness of labor export participation.

The job fair helps local workers meet and promptly grasp information on recruitment needs of businesses, have more opportunities to find suitable jobs; create conditions for students preparing to graduate from secondary schools, high school students in the area, unemployed workers without stable jobs to participate to receive orientation advice, direct interviews from recruitment and enrollment units to have career orientation, stable jobs to develop the economy of themselves and the locality. The job fair will connect labor supply and demand, contribute to building a flexible, modern, effective, sustainable and integrated labor market, improve the labor training index, in order to improve the competitiveness index at the department and provincial levels.
