On July 23, the announcement ceremony of Mega Us Expo 2025 took place at the Ho Chi Minh City Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (SIHUB), opening a series of activities to connect trade and promote innovation between Vietnam and Korea.
The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Start-up and SME of Korea, the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, the Jeonbuk Center for Creative Economy Innovation, SIHUB and the Korea - Vietnam Trade Promotion Center (KORETOVIET).
According to the organizers, Mega Us Expo 2025 will officially take place over three days, August 14, 15 and 16, in Ho Chi Minh City with a significantly expanded scale. More than 200 booths from 15 major industrial cities in Korea such as Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Gwangju, Jeonju, Daejeon... along with hundreds of Vietnamese and international enterprises will participate.
It is expected that there will be more than 9,000 visitors and about 2,000 direct business connection sessions on innovation (B2B Matching).
Speaking at the event, Mr. Lam Dinh Thang - Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City - emphasized that the event will be a specific foundation to realize Resolution 57-NQ/TW, making innovation the "backbone" of the economy. In addition, the activities will also contribute to renewing the growth model, expanding the supply chain and promoting effective technology commercialization.
On the Korean side, Mr. Lee Byoung Ryaul - director of Jeonbuk innovation and startup block - affirmed that Mega Us Expo is currently one of the key exhibitions to connect the Vietnamese - Korean innovation and startup ecosystem.
"We have developed a separate support policy for Vietnamese startups in Korea, with conditions equivalent to those of local businesses, and at the same time selected excellent startups to introduce at the National Startup Exhibition in Korea," said Mr. Lee.

More than just a regular trade show, Mega Us Expo is also a meeting point for more than 30 startup support centers, research institutes and leading universities in Korea.
This year, the two main programs, Venture Star and Univ. Star, continue to be expanded. Venture Star is a presentation stage for Vietnamese and Korean startups to call for capital before domestic and foreign investment funds.
Top 3 excellent projects will be sponsored to meet investors in Korea and receive support for working space at SIHUB.
Meanwhile, Univ. Star 2025 is a student startup competition with a record scale of more than 170 projects from more than 600 students in Ho Chi Minh City and 11 Korean universities. The final round and award ceremony took place on August 14 and 15, with a total prize value of nearly 200 million VND.
In addition, the event also has a specialized technology exhibition area, super-connected B2B food industry K-Food and a hybrid exhibition connecting more than 200 businesses of the two countries in the fields of food, cosmetics, technology, consumer products...
