At this time, Cuc Phuong National Park has millions of butterflies flying in the sky, attracting many tourists to come and enjoy and take souvenir photos.
Cuc Phuong in butterfly season is hailed as a "virtual living coordinate" because its beauty is combined with the sparkling early summer sunlight and flocks of colorful butterflies flying around, creating a dreamlike scene.
Mr. Pham Kien Cuong, Director of the Center forEducation , Environment and Services, Cuc Phuong National Park, said that during butterfly season, the forest has more than 400 species showing off their colors with millions of butterflies of different colors.

According to Mr. Cuong, butterflies are very strange and interesting insects. To reach adulthood, they take about 30 days or more depending on external factors. Butterflies in the adult stage can live from a week to nearly a year.
Butterfly breeding season in Cuc Phuong is around April and May. In the middle of the green primeval forest, thousands of colorful butterflies fly everywhere, creating a scene that is both lively and poetic.
From the entrance to the forest, visitors have begun to see butterflies appear. However, the most numerous is the area from Ranger Station No. 2 deeper into the forest. Here, the butterflies appear more densely.
"White, yellow, orange, blue, and striped butterflies gather in flocks, especially in Mac Lake and the Ancient People's Cave. Tourists who want to hunt butterflies should go on weekdays instead of holidays and Tet when there are many tourists and many vehicles entering the forest, it will be difficult to hunt for beautiful photos with flocks of butterflies," said Mr. Cuong.
Ms. Linh Nga ( Nam Dinh ) shared that this was her first time visiting Cuc Phuong National Park, a beautiful primeval forest. She was even more surprised as she went deeper into the forest, the scenery became more beautiful and magical.
"The moment when butterflies flutter their wings like a "living picture" of nature makes anyone surprised and unforgettable," Ms. Nga confided.

A representative of Cuc Phuong National Park said that in recent years, to preserve butterflies, the park has restricted large vehicles from entering the forest during holidays and Tet and advised visitors not to harm or injure them when visiting the forest and watching butterflies.
"Butterflies are almost harmless to humans, so people should respect and love these small, beautiful insects," said a representative of the national park.
Coming to Cuc Phuong this season, besides hunting butterflies, tourists also have many other ideal destinations here. Tourists can join many typical tours such as: Watching fireflies sparkling in the middle of the old forest; observing rare animals such as deer, pangolin, civet, wild cat, otter; learning about the ecosystem, conservation work and insects.

"In addition to butterfly hunting, the above tours are all unique experiences of Cuc Phuong National Park, the first national park in Vietnam, which are rarely available to tourists anywhere else," Mr. Pham Kien Cuong added.
Ms. Le Phuong (Hanoi) shares the secret to capturing beautiful butterfly photos. When visiting areas with many butterflies, visitors should bring along sweets or bread or sponge cake. The more fragrant they are, the more butterflies they will attract.
"Everyone should move gently, choose sneakers to walk softly, so that when walking, you won't disturb the butterflies," said Ms. Phuong.

Coming to Cuc Phuong National Park during butterfly season, visitors not only hunt for beautiful photos, but also have the opportunity to return to nature, learn to listen to the breath of the forest, and immerse themselves in the cycle of creation. That is also what makes Cuc Phuong so attractive every butterfly season.
